The blacks are true and the contrast amazing. Also I've accidentally left things on the screen for days and haven't had any burn in, to the point that I wonder if it's a myth. Just incredible tvs all around.

The picture quality is insane, the brightness is solid even in my living room, and the size alone makes movies and sports feel completely different. LG definitely did their thing with the panel. One thing that disappointed me was the lack of a mounting point for the Synergy bracket. On the smaller sizes this TV supports it, so I expected the 83” to have the same option. For a premium TV at this size and price point, it feels like something that should be included. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely inconvenient if you're planning a full LG ecosystem setup. Other than that, it's been great. I just wish they didn't remove that feature on the biggest model.

It would be much more convenient if there were a dedicated button just for changing to the last input use, such as a button to toggle between antenna and hdmi 1. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my 77" LG OLED C5 TV and it was a massive upgrade my from 62" LED! The color is infinitely better and the black/white contrast is amazing. In Vivid Mode, colors really pop out. I can now understand and appreciate 4K movies and videos, showing amazing details. I'm still fiddling around with the settings to get the most ideal video settings but so far I'm very impressed with everything including refresh rate and how seamlessly everything works.
