There is no better way to play Nintendo Switch games from your couch. If you’re familiar with the original Nintendo Switch Pro controller, then you should already know what to expect from this one. It’s softer on the textures, the buttons feel more tactile, by the comfort and responsiveness is the same.

First thing’s first: if you already own a Switch 1 pro controller this is just an even better version of that, not really necessary unless you want / need an extra controller on top of that. What it lacks in new features or innovation it makes up in excellent design, comfortable feel and grip, and the absolute best D pad for playing the many retro games available on NSO. For games like Mario Kart World the extra programmable buttons in the back of the grips make things such as aiming your weapons possible with the right analog stick while not letting go of the gas. (To assign the function of these buttons just hold down the home button while your game is running, it’ll remember the setting for that user for each individual game, an awesome and convenient feature). The buttons feel great and high quality, as do the analog sticks, I don’t lose my grip on them during heated play and they feel quite durable and comfortable. Only downside is the high asking price, I say it’s worth it but that’s subjective, naturally. If you want a sturdier, more reliable, more comfortable, and definitively superior controller to the Joycons you can’t go wrong with this.

Notable improvement over the original pro controller. Control sticks are smoother than any other controller I’ve ever used. The outer material feels nice in your hands, and the new programmable GL and GR buttons are great - every game remembers what you assign them as.

My older pro controllers, even with updates will not turn my switch on when I’m sitting in the chair. They work sort of OK afterwards. After talking with Nintendo, I had to run and get one of these. This controller is a major upgrade. The weight size and shape feel nice in your hands, it has new buttons on the back, and interface is perfectly with your new Switch 2. If you are displeased with your Switch 1 pro controller performance this is a must have.

Idk what they used for the finish on this thing but it feels like velvet and makes the original pro controller feel sticky and gross. The sticks also glide super nicely and make the whole thing feel more premium. The back GL GR buttons are nice too and sit flush which I like, they don't get in the way if you wanna ignore them. D-Pad is also a little less mushy which i like. Improvements all across the board. 90 dollars after tax is a bit steep though, and while I don't regret it, it still feels like a 70 dollar value.

Honestly, the controller feels fantastic. It’s definitely pricey, but I have no regrets buying it. Sure, you can still use your old Pro Controller, but this one is specifically designed for the Switch 2, making it feel much more intuitive and responsive.

Wasn’t sure if it would be worth the $ but honestly it’s super well built and makes the older Switch pro controller feel like a toy. It’s super smooth with the silky feel you get from an Apple bag, and it comes with the headphone jack, extra buttons behind the handles and the sticks and d-pad feel better than before. I’m glad I didn’t wait on this and will use it as my default when gaming on our TV.

It’s a solid product. Suggested pricing should be cheaper. If Walmart is getting a bulk discount on these then maybe it should be one to two dollars less. Walmart would move more product that way and would be able to primary hub for people buying switch and switch accessories. Especially with Target hurting like they are right now.

i really do like it, supposedly nintendo re-worked the control stick mechanism to be more resistant to the feared "stick Drift". that remains to be seen and which is why i give it a 4 stars out of 5. i bought this for 2 reasons. audio jack and wake up feature. Nintendo does still do free repairs on the control sticks for switch 2 so i figured why not and grab this.

Got this before I even got my Switch 2 and glad I did. Got it to play Donkey Kong Bananza when it came out (figured I'd have a S2 by then) and so far it's great. Feels good in your hand with the right texture, Smooth with like a felt feel (best way to describe it) so it feels comfortable. Also like that you can map the 2 back buttons (which I still haven't done...lol). The battery life is great as well. Now to just find a charging dock for it and I'll be all set, Because having to have the cord attached to charge gets annoying.
