Just a few hours enjoying it, but it really brings everything weI’ve watched to life. This is our second LD OLED and we are extremely happy with the purchases. There just might be a third LG OLED in our future.

The C5 intelligently recognizes whether you're watching a show in Dolby Vision or tuning into a sporting event, automatically adjusting the display settings for optimal viewing. It also features LG Gallery mode, so when the TV is off, it displays artwork, making it look like a framed picture.

If you’re upgrading from an older LED or even a few-year-old OLED, you’ll notice the difference immediately. That perfect, inky black level that only OLED can deliver is as stunning as ever, but LG has clearly kept pushing the brightness. While it’s not quite the sun-gun that the high-end G5 is, the C5 is definitely bright enough to make HDR content truly pop, even in a moderately lit room. The picture quality is simply beautiful. Colors are rich and accurate, and thanks to the new Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor, motion handling is incredibly smooth. Watching a 4K movie in Filmmaker Mode (with Dolby Vision, naturally) feels like getting a private screening. The sense of depth and contrast is just unbeatable at this price point. Where the C5 truly shines is for gamers. With four full HDMI 2.1 ports, 144Hz VRR support, G-Sync, and an absurdly fast 0.1ms response time, this thing is future-proofed for the fastest PC and console gaming. If you own an Xbox Series X and want to take advantage of Dolby Vision Gaming, the C5 is a no-brainer. Everything is crisp, tear-free, and buttery smooth. Now for the few gripes. Firstly, if you're getting the smaller 42-inch or 48-inch models, you lose the full Brightness Booster technology and the anti-glare screen found in the 55-inch and up versions. That's a real shame for desktop users or those with smaller, brighter rooms. Secondly, the new remote design feels like a step backward. It's slimmer, but they moved the dedicated mute button to a long press on the volume rocker, which is just annoying when you need silence right now. Finally, while the WebOS smart platform is comprehensive, the push toward more AI features and a few intrusive home screen ads is a distraction on a premium television. You can disable the ads, thankfully, but it shouldn's be a thing in the first place. The Verdict: The LG C5 is the sweet spot in the OLED market. It delivers flagship picture quality and unmatched gaming performance. If you can stretch your budget for the 55-inch or larger size to get the full brightness boost, this is a TV that will absolutely dominate your living room entertainment for years to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased LC OLED C5 77inch model. First of all, the screen is very slick. Installation was very straight forward including the wall mounting. Once setup was done, I was playing out the setting to get the best screen experience. When I started adjusting the darkness level of black pixels, I saw huge difference. I tried setting the darkness level close to 0 to truly represent black pixels. And at night, I set darkness level to 0 for black pixels and I put complete black picture on screen. It was really hard to see if TV is showing black photo or it is just turned off. It was that good experience. The whole point for me to chose OLED was to better differentiate colored pixels from black pixels... And this LG TV does amazing job. Quite happy with the purchase.

Of course it has perfect blacks being an oled but so much brighter. Also have it connected to my Sonos arc and now get Dolby atmos through the ears which the old tv did not have. Very happy with my purchase.

It’s especially strong for movies and gaming, offering fast response times, low input lag, and full HDMI 2.1 support on all ports. The TV handles HDR well, producing rich contrast and impressive detail, and LG’s webOS platform remains smooth and easy to navigate. While the C5 is brighter than earlier C-series models, it still isn’t as bright as some high-end Mini-LED or QD-OLED competitors, which can matter in rooms with a lot of direct sunlight. Reflection handling is good but, like most OLEDs, not perfect in very bright environments. Overall, the LG C5 is a fantastic balance of performance and value—ideal for movie lovers, gamers, and anyone who wants premium image quality without stepping up to a more expensive flagship model.

I can’t even describe in words just how better the picture looks on this OLED. Everything runs incredibly fast and smooth. I highly recommend this TV to anyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first OLED TV and the color is very good! When viewing HDR content, I felt like it was really there in the scene. Additionally, the TV's sound system is very good as well. The bass was decent and there was enough clarity that I'd still be happy even without a home theater setup.

The TV looks great, is a LOT brighter than the C2 series, and performs well in my quite-bright living room. Additionally, LG WebOS lets you disable home screen ads - this is a KEY selling point for me! Overall I am very satisfied with the new TV.
