It turned out to not be an issue probably in part due to the higher brightness of the C5 over prior versions. I have another 65" LG OLED that is 6 plus years old and still in excellent condition, so I don't have concerns on longevity.

I love LG OLED TVs. I own OLED TVs from LG and other brands, but LG is clearly my favorite—its color just looks better to me. I also own a QLED TV, and honestly, once you’ve experienced an LG OLED, it’s hard to go back, even if another TV has a bigger screen. However, the delivery was completely unacceptable. The delivery crew was unprofessional and careless. They refused to remove their dirty shoes despite my request and didn’t even have shoe covers. Worse, they claimed it was “too risky” to move the TV down the stairs even though there was enough space and a safe path. It genuinely felt like they were just trying to avoid doing the job. I shouldn’t have to stand there and direct the delivery team step-by-step just to get a TV brought downstairs. LG needs to stop outsourcing to amateur crews and use properly trained, professional delivery personnel. This experience seriously damaged my trust in LG’s delivery service.

The picture quality is stunning—deep blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast that really brings movies and shows to life. The brightness is noticeably better than older OLED models, and gaming on it feels incredibly smooth thanks to the HDMI 2.1 ports and 4K @ 144 Hz support. The webOS interface is clean and easy to use, and the overall design of the TV looks beautiful in my space. The only small drawbacks I noticed are some reflections in brighter rooms and the fact that it doesn’t support DTS audio passthrough. Other than that, this TV has been an amazing upgrade, and I’m extremely happy with the purchase.

Even with light coming in from a nearby window, the picture still looks great, bright and clear, and barely affected by the ambient light. Sound quality is solid too; playing music through the TV is crisp and enjoyable. I love the convenience of AirPlay. Being able to cast straight from my devices without needing an HDMI cable (though HDMI works perfectly as well) makes everything easier. All my streaming services connect with no issues, and navigating between apps is smooth. The TV itself looks incredibly sleek despite being around 60 pounds. The design is thin and modern, and I love the remote’s pointer feature. Typing through my phone using the LG ThinQ app is a huge plus and makes setup and searches much faster. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the LG C5 OLED for a bit now, and honestly it’s just a really good TV. It pretty much delivers what you’d expect from an LG OLED. Picture quality: The picture is the main reason to buy it. Blacks are actually black, contrast looks great, and colors pop without looking fake. HDR content looks especially nice, and even really dark scenes still have good detail instead of turning into a gray blur. Gaming: For gaming, it’s been excellent. HDMI 2.1, low input lag, VRR — all the important stuff is here. On Xbox, everything feels smooth and responsive, and fast games don’t get blurry. Design: The TV itself looks clean and modern with super thin bezels. It looks high-end. It’s also super thin and I guess I need to be careful to not break it accidentally. Sound: Could be better, but I have a sound bar so it doesn’t really matter to me. Others: The AI voice sounds robotic.
