The picture quality is exactly what you’d expect from LG’s latest OLED panel—deep blacks, perfect contrast, zero blooming, and extremely smooth motion. HDR looks incredible thanks to its higher brightness this year, and Dolby Vision content really pops. Even in a brighter room with windows, the C5 holds up better than older OLEDs. Reflection handling is improved, and the extra brightness is enough to keep the picture from looking washed out during the day (though Mini-LED sets still get brighter overall). Gaming performance is flawless: 4K 120Hz/144Hz support, extremely low input lag, VRR, ALLM, and excellent HDR gaming. It’s basically a top-tier gaming display if you have an Xbox Series X, PS5, or a PC. The 83” size is where this TV really shines—massive, cinematic, and totally immersive. If you sit 10–14 feet away, this size is perfect.

The picture quality is just super clean and natural, with deep blacks and realistic colors without oversaturation. Out of the box it already looked good, and after a bit of tweaking it’s become amazing for everything — movies, shows, sports, all of it just looks perfect and the size makes it feel pretty cinematic at home. For gaming, though, it really shines. Input lag feels very low, and once Game Mode is on, everything just responds instantly on PS5/PC. 4K at high refresh rates, VRR, and those HDMI 2.1 ports make it easy to plug in multiple devices and not think about it again. HDR games look great too — bright highlights, detailed dark areas, and no weird smearing or ghosting in fast scenes. If you’re into gaming and also want something that’s just solid for everyday watching, this has been a amazing upgrade.

So many settings to tweak so you can get the levels of smoothing, de-judder, and color correction to suit your taste. Or turn on Filmmaker mode and leave the settings up to the creator of whatever you're watching! Big fans of horror movies here, so the darkness of the black pixels was a big selling point. They fully deliver on the promise; the contrast is amazing, and we're exciting to use this TV for many years to come. Only small downside is the lack of support for the Kanopy app; so many high-quality movies that we wish we had easy access to in the LG ecosystem.
