I expected improvements, but the difference is far greater than I imagined. The brightness alone is a huge upgrade — HDR content looks dramatically more vibrant, with specular highlights that genuinely pop in a way the C1 couldn’t achieve. Colors are richer and more accurate, and the contrast feels even deeper, giving movies and shows a more cinematic look. Motion handling is smoother, and the new processor really shines in upscaling and clarity during fast scenes. Gaming performance is outstanding as well. Input lag is virtually nonexistent, and the boosts in brightness and uniformity make both dark and bright game environments feel more immersive. Everything just looks cleaner and more controlled compared to the C1. The webOS interface is faster and feels more polished, and the overall user experience is simply more responsive. The colors look rich, the screen is extremely sharp, and movies look almost like they’re playing in a theater. Bright scenes and dark scenes both look great. I’ve also been really impressed with how smooth it is for gaming. The response feels instant and everything looks very clear, especially in fast games. The built-in apps work well and the menu is easy to use, so I haven’t had any issues finding what I need. The sound quality is good for a thin TV. I still prefer using a soundbar for movies, but on its own it’s definitely better than expected. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase. The TV looks great in my space and I feel like I got really strong value for the money. I would definitely recommend the LG C5 to anyone looking for a great OLED TV.

I upgraded from a 50 inch sharp that I bought in 2012, I couldn't be more impressed on the different of these two TV's. The Immersive experience is next level. The TV is super fast to turn on from standby mode. I am still trying to go through all the settings and customize it to my setup. I connect the TV primarily to a home theater PC, haven't tried many apps beyond youtube on the tv it worked as I would expect. F1 looks amazing I watched the Las Vegas GP and was blown away by this TV. People say this TV isn't as bright as the G5, but at max brightness this thing will fry your eyeballs at night. Would highly recommend the c5 83 inch to anyone on the fence.
