This is an outstanding cooler. The setup is just what we needed for our on the go lifestyle. I like the built in bottle openers and the wife loves the tray and ease of getting down to the boat dock with the sturdy frame and big tires. Whoever designed this cooler put in their homework. The accessories and extras make it the whole package of coolers. Thanks Igloo

Igloo concentrated on adding some fun features, but it failed to get the basics right. This cooler can't hold ice for 12 hours. I have a standard marine igloo as well. I filled these both up for a day on the boat. At the end of the day, the standard igloo still held ice, but the Trailmate's ice all melted. This isn't a one time instance. It's every time I try to use it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to use it anymore because it doesn't keep things cold. I contacted Igloo about it, but they just pointed me to testing they do on their ice chests.

Just arrived and I haven’t had the chance to use it yet. I will say however that I thought it would be much “sturdier” than it is. The triggers that lock the handle in place are chintzy. The hooks for bungee cords to hold down items on the outside don’t seem to sturdy and will not hold much. Also feel that the top should lock down to the body better, but I’ll have to see how ice holds up.

I just received my Trailmate and it’s awesome. I haven’t used it yet but this thing is huge. I don’t need 10 days ice retention, I don’t think many do. I wanted convenience and this thing has it. Rolls super easy. It’s tall so it’s easier to access. Has storage on the outside to keep things like sun block and cellphone. Has a tray for food and drinks and more. I’m glad I made the purchase.

ictures dont really show how big this thing really is but let me tell you its very well made rugged and Huge we have two fat pugs I know I could put both of them in it and bring them with us and have room for soda and snacks and then some it work great love the two fish pole holders wish had three but two is great should last for years well made great handle and wheels are solid definitely keeps everything cold with very little ice

I bought the cooler because of all the great features and really does well in the beach or lake sand. However, I will be selling mine after one use because it does not hold ice well at all. I spent way too much money restocking with ice during my week at the beach. If you’re okay with that, this cooler is for you. If not, I would not recommend it.

I think the ice retention was perfect. I think the durability is OK ,but it could be questionable depending on how hard people are on it. But so far so good. I love all the accessories. These pics are from Baja in Mexico. I love that the color also matches my truck color

LOVE my cooler- it looks cool (which isn't really that important) and I absolutely love the amount of space it has. It's durable for hauling up and down trails and hill. BUT, the lid doesn't seam to seal completely- it does at first but then everytime we go back to it its pushed itself up at bit- not a tremendous amount but enough to make a difference. I thought it might be from keeping items in the little tray in the top but even after removing all that its still been an issue everytime. We also have to fix the handle alot as things seem to wiggle lose from being hauled in the bed of the truck, I understand this will happen of course but it seems more frequent than it should for the price.... over all a great cooler!- just letting others know of our small issues

This has to be the king of Coolers. I was drawn to the big wheels--perfect for sandy beaches or rocky mountain pathways. There are even places to put 2 fishing poles or an umbrella. Plenty of cup holder indentations, built in tie downs, even a bottle opener.

Kept it inside my climate controlled cabin and the ice lasted from 4pm to 12pm the next day.
