I replaced Goodyear tires on my wife's Acura TLX with a set of Michelin Defender2's. I also replaced the OE Firestone tires on my mother in law's Jeep Compass with the Michelin Defender2 tires. My wife and Mother in law immediately told me that their vehicles ride way better, handles better, and it is more quiet in their vehicles. As for the design, I love the way Michele tires look on almost all vehicles. All I can say about the construction and materials is that the tires appear to be made well. I am 53 years old and have never had a Michelin tire let me down. So I trust Michelin enough to use their tires on my family's vehicles. A couple of weeks ago i was stopped, checked a couple of times to see if it was clear to go ready to pull out across traffic when someone came flying out of nowhere. As soon as I saw him I hit the brakes, and he hit his. Luckily I stopped within inches of his car, I can only say how lucky I was to have such great tires on my car along with good brakes. Such a nice smooth ride, love my Defenders.

After having great performance and wear from my previous Defender tires I went with the Defender 2 tires this time. The original Defender tires still had another 10,000 miles of summer driving left on them but living here in Montana I need that deep tread depth for the winter. driving conditions here. I'm sure that these Defender 2 will be as good as or better than the original Defender tires.

Just bought these tires for my VW Atlas because they have been great on my wife's car, but have been disappointed with how they ride. I expected a smooth ride but you can feel every bump in the road throughout the car. At first thought the tires were not balanced, but went back to the shop and they checked to confirm the tires were balanced. I would by again for my wife's car but not my VW.

Worst tires I have ever owned. I drive a 2015 Honda Odyssey and the Defender 2 makes this car almost indriveable in wet weather. In the rain or on wet pavement from a stop sign there is tire slippage and if I am turning from a stop sign the tires slip to the point that the traction light turns on (I am being very gentle on the throttle). Merging from a turn causes the van to slide and momentarily lose traction. I have had the tires store where I bought these look at them on 2 occasions and nothing visibly wrong with the tire, and I have had repair shops check out the van, and it is fine. I am going into my 3rd winter with these tires and every wet season they have been terrible. Stay away from these tires, especially if you own a 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey.

Great tires for both winter and all-season. I have been buying this brand for my 2 cars and every time the performance is great. My gas consumption has been good compared to when I was using the heavier Bridgestone brand. Tip: buy when they have a promo on to save even more (that is if the need is not urgent).

My first set of these tires came with the car when I bought it new. I put 55,000 miles on them before I replaced them. Back in the day, I would have driven until I had a flat, but no more. I could have put another 5 K on them, but safety first. Also the traction was a little off.

We purchased the Michelin Defender 2 tires for our SUV in the spring of 2025 and they have exceeded our expectations. They are fantastic in all conditions (except snow, havent had that to try yet) and they handle great. Not only that, but they are quiet and provide a comfortable ride. I am looking forward to using these tires happily for many years to come. Oh, the braking performance is very solid as well. We purchased 235/60/18 for our 2020 Honda Ridgeline.

Buying Michelin Tires goes back many years starting with my family. Paying a higher price for a tire is worth every cent and the warranty on the Michelin Defender 2 goes a long way on the wear and tear on the tires. The Defender 2 is a quite and smooth tire and I am very satisfied with the performance of the tire.

This is my fifth or sixth set of Defender 2 tires. These are the only tires I will by and recommend to family and friends. I live in New England with warm hot summers, rainy spring and icy and snowy winters. These tires are GREAT! And with an 80,000 warranty and Michelin standing behind it - I love the tires.
