Ice retention in Florida heat is awesome

I'm very impressed with the build quality of the 115qt Lifetime cooler. I love the cutting board/divider feature. The ice retention of 115qt is amazing. I'm sure the 115qt will hold ice ten to eleven days easily in this Florida heat. The lid latches are easy to use. I like the three locking points and bottle opener on the lid also. I have a aftermarket wire basket that fits my 77qt Lifetime and 115qt Lifetime cooler as well. What can I say, Lifetime hit the features of the cooler out of the park. Thank you Lifetime for making such a great cooler.

Basket option found

Great ice chest!! Heavy especially when loaded down, but you can rig up wheels to it. Just google that. I went to Dollar General and found a dish drying rack that fits perfectly as a dry basket. It’s 14.32 inches. I took some pliers and made a lip on each end. It is a perfect fit for 10 bucks

Passed the test

We took this cooler on an 8 day rafting trip in Utah with daily temps in the 90s and it was awesome. Packed with 8 frozen half gallon jugs two days before launch, it kept ice until day 7of the trip (9 days after packing) and was still plenty cold at the take-out. It was the last cooler with ice on the trip and even outlasted rotomolded coolers (non-scientific comparison). The lid is SOLID and great for standing on (as you do in a raft). The only thing I didn't like were the sharp(ish) corners on the lid for placing locks. These were too sharp for having on a raft where people are constantly climbing over/around the cooler. I removed the stainless plates for locking the corners and filed the plastic locking tabs on the lid corners round to remedy the problem. I was really impressed with how this cooler performed and would highly recommend it.

Would not purchase again. Not for my needs.

I purchased this cooler simply because it stated “10 day Ice retention”. Now I’m a hot shot driver that stays over the road for weeks at a time. This cooler sounded perfect. I know that it was a stretch to expect 10 days while in the back of my truck, out in the open, but 3-5 days would have satisfied me. Not even. I placed my food and drinks in and a 20 lb bag of ice over the items early morning and by that evening less than half the ice was gone. I’m lucky to have ice last 2 days. I have had it for about a month with same or less than posted results. For the price and statement, it’s too much for me. I gave it 3 stars because the cooler itself is awesome. Sturdy, large capacity, heavy (technically anti theft, lol) but I’d prefer better ice retention. I viewed the ice retention videos on their website, coolers.lifetime.com (post purchase) and still found it to be unusable for my needs. If you are needing a cooler “child proof”, don’t know much about bear proof, and follow the instructional videos, this is your cooler.

Great addition to the Lifetime Cooler Family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have the 28 & 55 qt lifetime coolers & couldn’t be more pleased with the way they have held up over the last 2-3 years. Only problems with the prior listed coolers are there size when it comes to long weekend trips or hunting trips. The 115 easily allows you to quarter a deer and keep it on ice for 10 or more days. Ice retention is incredible for the price, $197 at Walmart... the yeti this size is $500. I’m a budget minded sportsman and want the best products for my dollar and the lifetime coolers cannot be beaten. Also... the lid is strong enough to support me at 200 lbs for casting on a fishing trip or messing around on land... lol. Hinges are strong and the latches are easy to open for children all the way up to the elderly, much easier then Yeti or Ozark Trail. Highly recommended the complete Lifetime cooler line & their kayaks as well... lol

Everything about this cooler is amazing

My favorite feature  of the cooler and lifetime coolers in general are the way the latches are designed.  I feel like they are far more secure than their competitors for sure.  Just hearing the snap of the latches makes me feel confident that the cooler will keep my stuff cold for the next days to come.  I have packed the cooler with 80 pounds of ice and still have room for more but I wanted to test the ice retention.  Let me tell you that it is outstanding it has been 7 days and i more than half my ice left in the cooler.  Also for the duration of the ice test I have the cooler sitting on my deck in the sun light all day and I have opened the cooler for about 10 minutes twice a day.  Needless to say I am very pleased with the cooler in the design and the performance.  Surprisingly the cooler is not as heavy as I was expecting it to be I feel like it is lighter that my rhino 80q cooler for sure and this one is bigger.

Best bang for your buck!

I needed multiple 100qt coolers for hunting. This is by far the best cooler at this price range. It comes with a cutting board that can be stored under the lid or used as a divider. The Igloo Mission 125qt does not compare in quality and ruggedness and it costs more! I guess I won’t be trying the 1000$ Yeti because this Lifetime will last a lifetime.

Another Great Cooler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took the 115 out to the deer woods this week. Cooler does a phenomenal job retaining ice and is every bit as rugged I'd hoped it was. I really like the 3 locking points to secure your food when you are away from it. I unfortunately did not get to put any critters in it but that is obviously no fault of the cooler. Lifetime has always in my experience exemplified an affordable cooler that far exceeds their much higher competition and this cooler is no exception to that fact. At a fraction of the price of the competition and performance that is second to none it would be foolish to spend your money elsewhere.

Can take a beating

I am a heavy equipment mechanic and i bought this cooler for out in the field a couple of years ago and it has lived in the bed of my service truck every single day since I bought it. It has been abused and beat up regularly. It's been drug out of the truck and dropped on the ground, it's bounced out of the truck driving across jobsites, it's been a work bench, its been a lunch table, i have even used it as a jack stand under the blade on a D6 dozer, it's had about 600lbs of parts and materials stacked on top of it bouncing down the road. This cooler is nearly indestructible. The only thing I have noticed is that it doesn't hold ice as long as it used to. In the early life of it when Iced down correctly it would hold ice for almost 2 weeks. Nowadays I get about 3-4 days. But I think that is because all the time it's spent in the sun of Arizona/New Mexico/Texas/California has warped the lid some. I think after this summer this cooler will be coming home and used for birthdays and other gatherings where it can retire and enjoy the remainder of it's years on the porch in the shade. I will definitely be buying another 1.
