They lit up fast and gave off a nice, mild smoky smell with a hint of beer. I have tried this charcoal to light my grill and it lights up very quickly. In addition, it is a very good quality and sustainable charcoal, it gives a very rich flavor and smell to the meat or chicken. Sometimes I dislike the smell of other charcoal, but I really liked the aroma it gives off when it is lit, and of course the aroma does not smell like beer despite being briquettes made of beer. I really liked the packaging, plus it is a 16 lb bag, which I think is excellent for its price.

It adds a slight smokiness to meats that complements the seasoning instead of overtaking it. The added Miller Lite taste that saves me having to add beer to the meats I cook is a welcome added bonus.
