Although I enjoy all of the Cabernet Sauvignon offerings by Austin Hope, the Paso Robles label (Barrel 23) is our favorite everyday wine at a great price-point. This wine captures the rich taste one expects: smooth finish, rich color, great finish - this wine is sure to please; a family favorite!

This wine was decent for the price, it was very fruit forward and had on the sweeter side. I think it would pair well with pizza or a meat dish, and could see it being a good option for a party, my impression is most people would enjoy it.

It offered a nice complement to our meal and has a lovely fruit-forward taste, light on the tannins. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy a good Cabernet. Austin by Hope wines is a very smooth easy to drink wine, it is on the lighter side for a Cabernet. It is not heavy on tannins and not as dry as most Cabernets. It has a fruity bouquet and is a rich red color. On first taste I get dark sweet cherries and a hint of pepper, and ends with a mild hint of tobacco. It has a slight oak flavor and tastes like a more expensive wine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Austin Paso Robles Cabernet is delicious and juicy. It smells like raspberries and red fruit. The wine is really smooth and easy to drink. As far as Cabernets go; it is on the “sweet” side, while still having some tannin on the back end. I used part of the bottle for cooking; in a recipe for beef Bourgignon. The flavor of the wine complemented the wintry flavors of garlic, beef and rosemary. Really delicious!

It is neither too dry nor too sweet, it's the right balance for my taste. I truly enjoy it and it pairs well with seafood but also with poultry. I experienced no headache at all the next day. I have recommend this wine to my friends and family.
