- It's a time saver; it's
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] - It's a time saver; it's amazingly intelligent to solve path problems; it has a personality, and it my bare feet have never been so pampered. Amazed at suction...picked up more than my upright Shark.!
Definitely does not avoid obstacles
My family generally picks up all of the pet toys and any other items on the floor however, the one time we happened to miss something it really became a huge mess. This robot guarantees that it avoids pet messes, let me tell you first hand that it DEFINITELY does not. Then I contacted customer support, have a case number and everything. They say give them 48hrs. It's been over a week and haven't heard a thing back yet. Idk why we paid for the protection plan to not get any service or help. I'll do you all a favor and spare you the pictures of the mess.

The robot is very loud. Never completes cleaning
First of all, I am currently pregnant and my husband purchased the robot for me as a helper. However, newborns are sleeping like ALWAYS so basically I won't be able to use it AT ALL. Secondly, roomba NEVER completes cleaning without getting stuck. Overall dissatisfied. I regret that we paid so much for such a poor product.
Hi iRobot Customer, we are really sorry to hear about the situation. This is definitely not the experience we want our iRobot family to have, and we'd love the opportunity to turn it around. Is it okay if you provide us with iRobot email in order to resolve the issue?
Impressive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never tried any product like this before. I've only used normal old school vacuums, nothing fancy about them. I was intimidated at first, to try the product but surprisingly set up was extremely easy. Directions were easy to follow. I have a very heavy shedding dog and normally vacuum my rugs at least 5 times a week. I got this charged and it started going. I was so impressed with how it mapped out my house, told me the areas that had hazards, and then docked itself right back on it's charger all by itself. I set it to start the next morning at 11:30. The bin was full so I took it out and emptied it. I was amazed with how much hair and debris it picked up. It cleans my whole downstairs (5 rooms) with a very heavily shedding dog in aabout 2 hours and it handles the hair! I only empty it after the 2 hours. I have mostly hardwood floors with area rugs and I'd always get 'tumbleweeds' of dog hair blowing across it or getting caught in corners. Since I got this, I haven't had 'tumbleweeds'! And it cleans my rugs so well that I only bring out the big heavy vacuum 2 times a week tops. However after a few days, it can't seem to dock itself and if it does get itself back on the charger, it isn't aligned. I have to go move it slowly until I see the charging light come on. If I had paid for the product, I'd be unsatisfied with this flaw and I'd probably tell people not to buy it. But I am impressed with all the other aspects. Without that flaw, I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. With that flaw, I want to be honest with them especially for the cost of the product. To me, totally worth it! It's not a big deal to me to twitch it's position and I'm more happy with all of the other functions of this than I am dissatisfied with the one main flaw I've encountered. I would recommend this product regardless, but like I said, I'd give a heads up on that flaw especially for how much these run.
Too loud, bad mapping, bad pathing.
Daily clean 1st floor. Mostly hardwood, some carpet. Insanely loud on hard wood. As someone who works from home, I can't stand it. If it ran when I wasn't home it might be OK, but most days I'm home and it's so much louder than our canister vacuum that I'd rather haul it downstairs to vacuum than letting this thing run when anyone is home. If I run it in the middle of the night, it does poorly with low lighting and wakes up everyone by emptying with its jet engine level auto empty feature. Interesting concept, but not worth sacrificing my ears for 3-4 hours while it tries to make its way around. Looking for an alternative option at this point. Only nice thing is the part replacement service so we don't run out or bags or roller. The vacuum itself is average or below average.

ITS NOT AS SMART AS ADVERTISED
I purchase this product a month ago, it has a great feature where it maps your house and knows what to avoid such as chairs, cabinets, tables etc but it doesn't know how to avoid stairs. It has fallen off the stairs twice now, how does it scan and map the floor's whole blueprint but falls off the stairs. I wouldn't recommend this product... my irobot vacuum is all banged up from the two falls already. Doesn't make sense to pay such a high price for a vacuum that doesn't avoid stairs properly.

I was very skeptical abou
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very skeptical about how this would work but I am very surprised at how well that this did. It picked up most stuff that my regular vacuum would and I did not have to do anything. Love this thing. Only thing I would purchase would have been the canister with it that helps me not have to empty it more then once to finish the vacuum cycle. But other then my mistake I gave it over five stars and highly recommend this
Dissatisfied
I bought the J7+ for two main reasons, the self-empty feature and that it received relatively high scores online for cleaning carpets. The self-empty feature is mostly good. The only problem I've had is that it will occasionally say the bag is full when it's only about half full. This requires that I remove the bag, jiggle it around a little, and put it back. Not the end of the world, but annoying. The carpet cleaning isn't great, especially with pet hair. I have a cat and run this vacuum every day. Unfortunately, the design of the vacuum's brush is such that it clumps up the hair and then leaves random hairballs as it goes. So, rather than picking up all the hair, I get a trail of hairballs throughout the cleaning zone. Moreover, the bush's design allows for hair to get stuck in the "axle" part of the brush. About 50% way through the life of the brush, I get warnings that the brush is stuck and that I need to clear the obstruction. Each time, it requires me to remove the two brushes and pull hair that's been wrapped around on the underside, where the oddly large "axel" area is located. Basically, it's not great for the main two reasons I bought it. Moreover, the battery life is laughable. This is exasperated by the fact that the navigation is absolutely awful. I own a couple of "off brand" robot vacuums that cost half the price, but they have far superior battery and navigation logic compared to the J7+. My final annoyance with the robot is that it doesn't allow the user to monitor precisely where it is during a job, or where it left off when it inevitably goes back to the dock for one of its many charging breaks. Again, I have much cheaper vacuums that are much more precise and allow for the user to check its location and/or completed areas. One positive thing I can say is that the smart obstacle avoidance is pretty good when it comes to cords, shoes, socks, etc. Still slams into walls and furniture at full speed. Not good.

Self Emptying Robot Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Roomba j9+ is a self emptying robot vacuum. Honestly, this is our favorite feature. With a dog, it is great to not have to empty the vacuum every day. On the down side, you do have to buy bags for it, but they seem to hold a good amount. Pros Self emptying Can set zones in the house Can set a schedule Looks nice Cons Rather loud compared to competitors Extremely loud when emptying Have to buy bags
Ruby2 and Ruby3 at Work
I loved Ruby2 so much that I got a Ruby3 for the lower level. These are game changers! Ruby1 was relegated to the RV garage. She doesn't have the self emptying feature. So convenient to schedule the other 2, and I don't have to babysit them. I have a 5400 sq. ft. home, so these gals really help out. They really keep the dust under control. So far I am beyond delighted with their performance. I've only had them a short time, so hopefully I will continue to be thrilled.
Hi Leo, thank you for letting us know about your experience. We're happy to hear your excitement for our products!
