With 2 dogs, 2 small kids and a husband who works construction I was either vacuuming every day or looking at tumble weeds of dog hair and crumbs floating around my house. Not any more! The roomba j7 does it all for me! It navigates around obstacles easily! I was really worried it would have a hard time going over our thresholds from the kitchen slate tiles to the hardwood floors and every onto the carpets. Absolutely no worries. It climbs over everything with ease. If I don't run it every day o have to clean the bin out during the middle of cleaning. It's super easy to do though. 2 clicks and a dump! I have a dyson stick vacuum that's an absolute pain to clean the bin out so this was quite refreshing to have such an easy experience with. I love how you can easily program with your phone and it instantly sends alerts if something is wrong. I'll definitely need to purchase another one for my basement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house is very busy and I have 3 dogs and two children. Though this roomba is small it's got quite a long run time. It can get through my whole main floor without having to recharge. I'm also quite impressed with how much dog hair you can fit inside this little thing! There are a couple little spaces it obviously can't get into so doesn't eliminate having to vacuum yourself but it's a nice ittle helper!

I have the J7+. Love it. Have had it for about two months. It does a great job. I have vinyl plank flooring and some carpeted floors. It works well on both. I do not have pets. Mapping is a breeze to do and the app is very user friendly. Would recommend.

The roomba J9+ is an incredible vacuum. This vacuum is a high performing computer compared to a calculator. It feels light years ahead compared to a normal roomba. I've been a long time roomba customer as I have a golden retriever who sheds like crazy and my house has NEVER been this consistently clean. The vacuum is also extremely quiet. At one point I forgot that I had set it's schedule for 9am on a weekend and I didn't even know it was running until I got up to make coffee and it was doing is thing. The maps are very accurate and easy to work with. I spilled some dirt in my laundry room after tipping over one of my plants. I just sent my roomba over directly to the laundry and BAM spotless!! No need to take out my big vacuum. This product in comparison is light years in technology away from any other vacuum. The self emptying feature is also amazing. We have a pretty big house. It's first cleaning/mapping run took 8 hrs but boy the house was clean after that. The making features are A-MA-ZING too. After the robot's done cleaning your house it will let you know of any obstructions it identified and ask if they are permanent so they can avoid it in the future. In one room I have a large decorative mirror that rests on the floor. I used to always have my husband move the mirror so it wasn't hit by our old roomba. Now I can mark where I don't want the roomba to go. It's incredible it takes a wide path around any objects you mark as do not clean around. If your somebody who has vases or plants set for level this vacuum is a game changer. Honestly I know the price seems high but if you have dogs or cats who routinely shed, a large house, fragile items on the floor, or all of the above like me it is WORTH the price to get routinely clean floors and peace of mind that you're not going to come home to broken or damaged item All the while of having perfectly clean floors. This product is so distinctly different in Performance that i'm kicking myself for not getting it earlier. It's a game changer and worth the investment. It's truly not a mark up because it's pretty or fancier looking. No it is just THAT MUCH BETTER.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This robot vac is powerful and quiet. The dirt suction is loud at the end but you get use to it. The robot is set to high suction and 2 passes each cleaning lasting about 2 1/2 hours. I have tons of dog hair through out the day and mine runs every night.

I bought the J7+ for two main reasons, the self-empty feature and that it received relatively high scores online for cleaning carpets. The self-empty feature is mostly good. The only problem I've had is that it will occasionally say the bag is full when it's only about half full. This requires that I remove the bag, jiggle it around a little, and put it back. Not the end of the world, but annoying. The carpet cleaning isn't great, especially with pet hair. I have a cat and run this vacuum every day. Unfortunately, the design of the vacuum's brush is such that it clumps up the hair and then leaves random hairballs as it goes. So, rather than picking up all the hair, I get a trail of hairballs throughout the cleaning zone. Moreover, the bush's design allows for hair to get stuck in the "axle" part of the brush. About 50% way through the life of the brush, I get warnings that the brush is stuck and that I need to clear the obstruction. Each time, it requires me to remove the two brushes and pull hair that's been wrapped around on the underside, where the oddly large "axel" area is located. Basically, it's not great for the main two reasons I bought it. Moreover, the battery life is laughable. This is exasperated by the fact that the navigation is absolutely awful. I own a couple of "off brand" robot vacuums that cost half the price, but they have far superior battery and navigation logic compared to the J7+. My final annoyance with the robot is that it doesn't allow the user to monitor precisely where it is during a job, or where it left off when it inevitably goes back to the dock for one of its many charging breaks. Again, I have much cheaper vacuums that are much more precise and allow for the user to check its location and/or completed areas. One positive thing I can say is that the smart obstacle avoidance is pretty good when it comes to cords, shoes, socks, etc. Still slams into walls and furniture at full speed. Not good.

It works wonderfully...when it is not broken or displaying errors. We own a long haired golden retriever, it was the main reason the get the robot. But around a month after we got the J7 the spin brush stopped working, have not being able to make it work again and support did not come back with any answer even though it is still under "supposedly" 1 year warranty; now after only 6 months the robot is displaying error 26, did try all the suggested steps yet is not working, just contacted support in order to see it the head module which is indicated need to be replaced will be shipped as the robot is under warranty. Honestly, for not so cheap piece of robot find it annoying that after relatively short time pieces need to be replaced and / or fixed. Roomba supposedly to be the "gold" standard on these sort of machines yet i do wonder if for less money there are a more reliable robot around. My suggestion would be to do a thoroughly research before buying this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this vacuum for free in exchange for my honest review so here it is. The iRobot J8+ has some pros and some notable cons. Admittedly, I am comparing against the Shark Matrix, which we’re happy with. The pros: self emptying canister, doesn’t get “as stuck” as our Shark Matrix. It does a great job of scanning the room and with navigation overall. Irobot seemed a little confused when the lights are off though, unlike our Shark, which does great in the dark. Now for my honest cons: the self-emptying mechanism is LOUD. It sounds like a jet engine taking off every time it finishes a cleaning cycle and empties the bin. Admittedly, my Shark is not self-emptying, so maybe that’s normal? As far as cleaning goes, I’m not sure if it’s the rollers or what, but it leaves a lot of hair behind (we have a very fluffy cat with sticky undercoat), even on the high-suction setting. This was extremely disappointing so I would tell Roomba to continue developing suction power or look at different rollers perhaps? Our Shark Matrix (even on the normal setting) gets all of the hair in one pass, which is exactly what you’d expect. And honestly, the Shark makes a cuter sound when it’s finished too. Outstanding robot, I'm so so impressed with how quickly the J9+ Self emptying Robot Vacuum was able to map my hole house. The robot is a peace of art, so beautiful and modern design and what I like the most in it was that it makes almost no noise. That makes my heart very happy! Cleans all rooms very well and the fact that you don't need to clean it all the time that you use is amazing! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THE J9+ Self emptying Robot Vacuum!!!! ♥️
