I own almost every vintage of iRobot robots. I have been a customer for 20 years, having owned one of their first robots. This i5+ is a piece of junk. What concerns me most is the number of times I have called and the lack of support I have received. This episode now has gone on for over 5 weeks. Daily phone calls yield nothing. Calls to corporate yield nothing. At this point in time, there is literally nothing iRobot can do which will make amends for this fiasco .

This has to be, by far, the fanciest and smartest vacuum I have ever owned. I named him Ricardo and he is my new best friend! I love that this vacuum can be operated through my phone and that I can be at work and set my vacuum to go off while I'm away. This vacuum is much more high-tech than previous robot vacuums I have tried, especially with it operating through an app. I also I am greatly fond of the fact that it cleans either carpets, hardwood floors, vinyl floors, etc. It cleans any type of floor you have. I love that it is self cleaning, and it empties itself as well! As far as cleaning goes, absolutely amazing! It gets up dirt better than any other vacuum I've used or seen. It also does not tangle up floor rugs, but will go over the floor rug and vacuum it as well. The vacuum is so smart that it maps out your home, and you can set it up to do so many different things in the app. You can schedule cleanings, tell it to vacuum a certain area, or just tell it to go to work through the app. It is whisper quiet, except for when it empties itself, as where the older ones were very loud. The only problem I found with the entire thing was that it comes with no directions on how to set it up, so anyone who is new to a robot vacuum would not know how to use this very easily. I recommend that Roomba add instructions to the boxes that they ship these out in. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who's looking for a robot vacuum. We have the J7+ with the M6 mop and they are a life saver. So easy to clean the floors while at work or doing other things around the house. Takes a little work to get it programmed to avoid the areas that are a challenge but certainly worth the effort. We live on a lake and it is no longer a big deal if someone tracks into the house.

Maps your floors, you can tell it to vacuum certain rooms if you want. You can also mark zones like under kitchen table and it will vacuum there. Has schedules and vacuums in rows so it doesn't miss anything instead of aimlessly moving around the room. It also self empties once it returns to its home base. Only con I can see so far would be the price.

Very dissatisfied with the company. I contacted customer service after the j7 failed with error code 26 multiple times. Customer service told me the part to fix the unit would be received in 5 - 7 days. After two weeks, the replacement part was not received. Now the part is backordered. This was a brand new unit that failed almost immediately. Company should replace the entire unit, since the replacement part is not available.

We use this Roomba J7 on hardwood floors. The mapping feature is very good. As we use the Roomba J7 more, the maps get more accurate. Setting up zones and naming zones allows the vacuum to go directly to the zone you prefer to clean instead of the total floor map. We are very happy after 1 month of usage.

I had stopped using robot vacuums because I had to empty it almost every time I used it and it just became a hassle to remember to do it before I used it again but I like this because of the self emptying feature that so I don't have to worry about having to empty it after every use. The vacuum itself is s very sturdy. Cleaning time is appropriate and the battery I would say lasts a good amount of time.

I bought a J7 for $695. Before I even received the delivery, the price dropped to $495. So I requested a refund of the difference. They said that I waited 10 days to ask for a refund, and I needed to do so within 7 days. Seriously? I could have returned it and gotten a full refund, but chose to keep it because I didn't want to go through the trouble of shipping it back. They probably knew that.

Bought a J7. Was working fine for 2 months, and all of a sudden, it was useless with error 26. Recieved a replacement cleaning head module, it worked twice, and now, getting error 30. Waiting for another replacement cleaning head module. Wish I new I'd be having problems before wasting money on this product.
