does not pick up as well as excepted. Had a cheaper brand for 4 yrs and it sucked up the dirt and dog hair much better. Also, the program for the floor plan isn't that great

I love this thing. Honestly, I was skeptical about using a robot vacuum. But I have to say that it’s done an awesome job with my floor. I have tile floors and I have 3 cats and a Dog. Floors are cleaned Monday Wed and Fri on an automated schedule. It learns your house and takes pictures of items as it cleans. Later in the report after it cleans you teach Roomba of those items are temporary obstacles or not. After a few times it will completely map your house. You can also integrate with Alexa and tell Alexa to vacuum a specific area in the house. Of course you will need to label the rooms first but honestly. This was a good purchase.

Cleans carpet and hard surfaces very well. Seems to covers areas completely. Can't comment on battery only J9 for about a month.

I’ve never had a robot vacuum cleaner. So getting this one has really shown me what I’ve been missing! I’d love the fact that you can program it to start on its own or you can start it with your phone or you can start it with the button. I’ve got my rooms divided up so if I want to vacuum one room I just start it for the one room. And it’s so cute if it picks up my cat. He watches it and if he is in the robots view, the robot takes a picture of him and sends it to me stating he was an obstacle.

j series issues. i have 294 series. other than it running in to objects, and not going in straight lines, no complains. just got j series since it can go in straight lines and supposedly does not run into object. as soon as i opened the box and saw the rollers instead of brushes, did not like that. couple of trips later, my fears come true as the rolller kept jamming. cleaned them, still error of jammed rollers. second the dirt tanks is to small, to the extent of getting emptied every time. given the irobot j7 keep freezing with roller jams, i cannot say any thing good about it since it cannot clean, and uses up the battery when rollers are jammed. it is quiet though.

My mom loves it and doesn't have to clean as often and it simply works and from what I've seen this is one of the best ones for the current price of between 300-400 there are better stuff but for the price i think this is the biggest bang for buck. Also the app is great and simple, and it clean carpet pretty good as well as wood floors. Basically this makes it so you need to vacuum much less often maybe a quarter of the time if at all (depending on kids or animals or closed doors you still need to vacuum sometimes i feel)

I have purchased this vacuum cleaner twice. I have not been able to connect to my wi-fi for neither of the vacuums. I will be calling Sam's to tell them I am returning the second one. My wi-fi provider tried to help me and Roomba has tried to help me. The Roomba Co. just sent me a text and they want me to give them an extensive overview of the vacuum cleaner. I'm not going to go through all that. I rather not have the robot vacuum cleaner.

Started with learning the layout of the areas I wanted cleaned. All good so far. It did the cleaning in the areas I wanted and did a good job. However, it did stop a few times when the chamber was full, so would therefore recommend the j8, the model just above this one, as I believe it has a tower that it empties to that can hold a lot more debris so as to complete the job.
