This TV rules the family room!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this TV to play Minecraft on my new desktop. The colors are bright and beautiful and the speakers make the sound effects and music dominate the room, as it should. Very pleased also with the smart TV aspects and internet though I rarely use them. But it's nice to know they are there in case I just want to watch a show.
Ok but not good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The remote is very bad and hard to operate. The screen layout makes it hard to understand and find what you are looking for. I have a 65" LG that is a lot easier to operate. Will sell this and buy another LG.
Hi Old man, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. To help you get the most from your TV, you can download the full e-Manual and more by visiting Samsung’s website, then navigating to: Support > Manual & Software > TVs & Home Theater. From there, you can search for and select your U8000F TV model to view or download the available guides. The e-Manual & User Guide are also conveniently built into your TV: Settings > Support > Tips and User Guides. Your TV includes Learn Menu Screen, an accessibility feature that provides audio guidance for on-screen menus. When enabled, your TV will announce the name and function of each menu item as you scroll, without making any changes. This feature is particularly helpful for users who are visually impaired or new to Smart TV menus. To enable, go to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Learn Menu Screen. To exit, press the Return key twice. If you’d like more assistance with this feature, please reach Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Good features poor connectivity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture quality is terrific and the Samsung television channels do provide some good viewing programs. My biggest complaint is its inability to sync properly with my cable box and the television will not allow me to connect my Roku streaming device. If I could return this television for another I would, but I've held on to it too long.
Hi Nisey, We appreciate you sharing the issues you’re experiencing when connecting your U8000FD TV to your cable box. To ensure everything is set up correctly, we recommend using the Connection Guide, which provides step-by-step instructions for connecting external devices. Navigate to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Connection Guide Also, please double-check that your cable box is powered on and that the HDMI cable is securely connected. To change input sources, go to: Connected Devices > Sources You can also run HDMI Troubleshooting, which checks the connection between your TV, HDMI cable, and external device. This takes approximately 2 minutes and can be found under: Connected Devices > Connection Guide > Video Device > HDMI Troubleshooting Finally, please ensure that the broadcast signal or network your cable box is connected to is functioning properly. Outside shoveling gravel
I am the person who would rather be outside shoveling gravel than sitting and learning the intricacies of a new remote. The Samsung system is very intuitive; the screen quality is superb. I liked it so much I ordered three more versions. I really enjoy these televisions.
Great pic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture is clear and bright, the sound is fantastic too! The ease of using the control, well it has been the easiest one I have ever used-it is simple not confusing. Every TV I own is a Samsung, wouldn’t own anything else. Love It!!!!
Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not pleased with this tv and would not recommend it to anyone. I’ve only had the TV about five months. I will be watching the program and all of a sudden the sound goes out. I have checked with the cable company and it’s not them. It’s my television.
Hi Linda, Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience with audio interruptions on your U8000FD TV. If you're experiencing sound dropouts, the steps below are designed to help you troubleshoot across different connection types. HDMI ARC / eARC Connection 1. Use a certified High-Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet and ensure it's firmly connected to the HDMI eARC ports on both the TV and soundbar/receiver. 2. Enable ARC/eARC settings on your TV: o Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > HDMI eARC Mode = Auto o Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = On 3. Adjust Digital Output Audio Format: o Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format o Set this to Auto unless you're using a device that specifically requires Pass-Through. 4. Cold boot your TV by holding the power button on your remote for 5+ seconds. Optical Audio Connection 1. Power on your soundbar or receiver first, then connect the optical cable to ensure proper handshaking. 2. Set the TV’s audio output to Optical: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output = Optical 3. Ensure cables are secure and not damaged. Try a different optical cable if sound continues to cut out. Bluetooth Connection 1. Bluetooth connections can be sensitive to distance and interference. Keep the Bluetooth device close to the TV, and remove nearby sources of interference (e.g., wireless routers or other Bluetooth devices). 2. For improved stability, use a 5GHz Wi-Fi network if available. 3. If issues persist, we recommend switching to a wired connection (HDMI ARC or Optical) for a more reliable audio experience. Wi-Fi / Wireless Speaker Connections 1. Make sure both your TV and audio device are on the same network band (5GHz is ideal for stability). 2. If you're using Samsung’s Wireless Audio features (e.g., Wi-Fi Speaker Surround Setup), ensure your speaker system is properly added in: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Wi-Fi Speaker Surround Setup 3. If signal issues continue, disconnect and reconnect the speaker from the network and re-add it to the TV. Also Try: • Update your TV's firmware: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now • Run a Sound Test • to verify internal sound functions: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test If you’ve tried the steps above and are still experiencing issues, we’re here to help. You can call Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking the ‘Support’ link at Samsung.com. ~ Samsung Advisor

Issues may cause us to switch away from Samsung
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I may switch away from Samsung although I have purchased all my TVs and computer screens Samsung. Problem is the remote is too small and touchy, the mute same button as up/down volume is a bad choice, keep muting when only want to change volume. The remote only for on/off function some computer screens aggravating if using a PC. The menu on TV is frustrating to use and navigate. I can only say that someone over thought these products. Changing TV input frustrating to navigate to. Think Roku, keep it simple and adjust the remote so that each time you pick it up or put it down the buttons are not pressed and TV mute or changes. That NEVER happens with Roku type remote or the larger 3rd party remotes.
Hi BobW, Thank you for sharing your experience. Samsung remotes are designed to offer convenient control, but we understand if you’d prefer to use a universal remote. Many third-party remotes work well with Samsung TVs, though setup steps may vary by brand and model. To get started, we recommend checking the manufacturer’s instructions for programming codes and pairing methods. If you run into any trouble or have compatibility questions, Samsung Support is happy to help. You can reach us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). LiveChat agents are also available at the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor
Great daily family TV!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good value based on price! Great TV for daily family use, family game play, movies, etc.If you are a serious gamer you might be disappointed and I would recommend checking out some of Samsung's "newer-tech" options.
