I would like to know if it is normal to receive the generator with .5 once of oil inside ? The oil does not look very clean.

Mine caught fire under control panel and could have took home with it . No load on it either. Used once.

Purchased 'just in case' because it's hurricane season. Seemed easy enough to test out, start & operate.
