[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spread this on my yard and foundation several weeks ago. Within a matter of days the insect population in my yard was decimated. I have a small long haired dog who loves to lay in the grass. I no longer need to inspect him before coming back into the house for any small insects he may be transporting. The ant nests that form near my foundation in the shrub and flower gardens have been completely eliminated. This will be my go to product every year going forward.

I live in Mobile, Alabama and we have been getting rain just about every day for about a month. I got tired of waiting for the rain to stop so I went ahead and put the Ortho Bug Clear on the lawn. We have a problem with fire ants in this area so I wanted to get ahead of the ant mounds popping up. Well, the next day it poured. But I will have to say that so far I haven't seen any mounds at all. Now, I'm trying to work on the weeds and spaces where I need to replace the grass. We can't get new turf because they don't have any grass because of the rain. I used Scott's seed and fertilizer in the entire yard but I recently had some trees cut and need grass to cover those spaces. Overall I think the bug clear is working and I will continue to use it every six months. It's a good product.

I failed to realize I needed a spreader when I picked this, so I just used a glove and sprinkled it around my house where I'm most concerned about bugs. The granules were small making it easy to spread. I also didn't water my yard after using it. I'm sure if I followed the instructions completely I would have had better results, but I'm still happy with the results that I received. I haven't noticed any ants or spiders since I have used this a month ago. I like that I only need to apply it every three months. I like that I can also use this in my vegetable garden. It's too late this year, but next year I plan on using it there to combat insects.
