LOVE the centrally located controls between the units which was the main reason I selected this model. It looks nice, cleans full sized loads, does a good job at sensing dryness and gives good options for types of loads. Thumbs up so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is perfect for small places where stand alone units will not fit. Even though it is a stacked unit it is not too tall for shorter people. All the controls are in the center which makes it very user friendly. If you are a tech person you will love the features in the app. It did take some time for me to figure out how to connect the unit to the app. The instructions are not very good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the LG washer/dryer tower about a month ago. It is a heavy tower but fits and looks nicely in a very compact area in my mountain cabin. I wish I had done my homework though because unlike other towers that have ONE plug this required a 110 plug for the washer and a 240 for the dryer. I had to get an electrician to install a new outlet and also add another breaker. The unit is very high tech and is basically a "Smart" appliance if I want. Bluetooth and wifi applications.

I knew that I needed a machine that would fit into its allotted space in my apartment, that would be front-loading (and energy-efficient), and that would look nice. This machine, though more expensive than others that I researched, meets my criteria. I am still getting used to the features/settings (like, can't I keep the machine's lights on for the entire time that I am unloading it?!?), but I already appreciate how much more comparative capacity it has and how much quieter it is than my old machine. One thing that is odd is the amount of lint build-up happening outside the lint trap on the inside bottom of the dryer door. I have to take a wet cloth to clean it up after the drying is done.

I tend to research for hours, days, or even months if possible before buying appliances. This combo from LG has lived up to the positive ratings and so far has run flawlessly. I've had the unit for about a year and do 4-5 loads of laundry a week. Here are the pros: * fits perfectly in my main floor entryway closet so no more trips downstairs for laundry * my phone alerts me when cycles are done so clothes don't sit * can operate the machine from the app on my phone * has run flawlessly since I bought it over 6 months ago * easy to load, unload and transfer laundry * so many options for gentle cycles, temps, etc. Honestly, there are no cons. Just remember with all front load washers to wipe out the door and gasket and leave it ajar so it doesn't develop a smell. The app reminds you to do a tub clean tablet every now and then. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

Wash Tower is 4 days old and serious problems have started. With every dryer use, lint spreads all over the door gasket as well as the back of the lint screen. Extremely difficult to remove from the rubber gasket. Also the washer motor makes a periodic repeated grinding sound.  What next?

I’ve had LG washer and dryer for the last 10 years and when they needed replaced, I went with LG again. This time it was a stacked unit which is about 4” shorter as a single unit. The controls have been updated and the units are more energy and water efficient. I expect to have these unit at least another 10 years.
