[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this washer dryer combo for over a month now and have been very pleased with the performance. We have it in our master bathroom, which is very convenient. We have another conventional, top load LG washer dryer combo in the basement that also works very well! But this one is getting the bulk of the use due to the convenient location. Pros:The washer actually holds more than you would expect. Not as much as our LG top load washer, but certainly enough for regular usage. The location of the controls in the center of the unit is very convenient and just makes sense. Whatever setting you use for the wash (ex. regular clothes, bedding, etc.), will automatically default to the equivalent setting on the dryer when move the load in the dryer. Again, this just makes sense. It is relatively quiet and the time per load "seems" to be shorter than with a conventional washer and dryer. My understanding is that there are a lot of sensors in the washer which may be working to reduce the time needed if your load is not too dirty. Also, it looks very nice! We have it in a "closet" space with doors in the bathroom. However, it would look very nice if you didn't have doors or an enclosure. LG app: This is a feature I thought I would hate. I don't need all my appliances to be "smart" and telling me how they are doing... It has actually turned out to be pretty convenient, especially working from home. Just put in load and go about your business. You'll get a notice on your phone when your load is done. Plus you can always check how much time is left. It took a couple of times to set up, but once done, it has been seamless. Cons: Getting moved upstairs was a pain!! We bought at Costco and they had to drop off and come back another day to move upstairs. This is because it is truly a single unit. It does not come apart for install purposes. Over 330 lbs. that essentially needs to be moved vertically (took 3-4 guys) to get upstairs! Make sure you account for this if you buy. A related con is that if either washer or dryer breaks and can't be repaired, you essentially have to buy new combo unit. But I have read other reviews that note that this is essentially the case even with the stacked washer dryers that can be separated (i.e., models change and separate units may not be compatible). I understand some competing models have a larger storage tank for detergent so you can fill and then do multiple loads before refilling. This one does not have that feature, but it works fine, like every other washer we have owned. Lastly, it is more expensive than other stackable units. That said, I think the benefits outweigh the additional expense. I definitely recommend!
