Michelin 245/65R17 GREAT TIRES!!!

I purchased a set of the X LT A/S 245/65R17 in 2018 for my 2012 Toyota Highlander Base. Putting on a new set as soon as they arrive (1/10ish/24). Old ones have 72,000+ and ready to replace. Couldn't be more pleased with the tires! Fairly quiet, hold the road, good for fuel economy. Michelin is the BEST!

Very smooth, quiet tire with good wet or dry grip

Purchased new to replace OEM Michelin LTX tires on my 2008 Honda Ridgline LTS 4x4 truck. The old tires were great, but these XLT tires have proven to be even better. Michelin says this is the same tire as the old LTX, just re-branded as a club tire. Visually, the tire looks identical, but they have balanced out much better than the old ones and the ride also seems a bit softer. I have about 5,700 miles on them now, mostly highway driving, but I've also taken them off road to Big Bend National Park (desert backroads) through sandy washouts and loose rock and these tires have proven to be very durable and provide plenty of traction (not as good as an all terrain tire), but smooth quiet ride is much more important to me than off road performance. Nevertheless, this tire highway tire is tough enough to handle the rough terrain, so for that reason, I highly recommend them.

Most comfortable tire I've ever ridden on!

As I was driving away form the tire center I thought i was in the wrong car, this is by far the best tire I've ever had. my SUV feels new again. this tire minimizes vibration from the road, bumps ect...up to the passengers. gives my truck a very comfortable ride and feel... You will love this tire!!!

The tires you buy when you finally grow up.

500 miles in, feel better than new. Many late nights researching and reading reviews led me to these. My ego kept looking for "aggressive looking" all terrains for my pickup but fortunately maturity won. Economy is very important for a new father but even more so is reliable safety. Comfort, noise level, performance and durability make these the right tire for mature consumers. My American made F150 deserves to ride on top shelf American tires.

Great crossover tire for mild off-road use

Even though the tire comes in the exact size, speed rating, and load index as the original equipment tires on our car, Michelin doesn't think it fits, but I bought it anyway, and after 1000 miles, it's exceeded expectations. I do know this is basically the same tire as Defender LTX M/S, also not recommended for my vehicle, but reading some reviews for that tire, I was concerned about tire noise, ride, and wet traction. So it's a relief that the tires are quiet, and while slightly firmer than a touring tire, they're by no means uncomfortable, and I've only driven it once on a rainy day, but traction seemed fine. Another concern was that each tire is about 3 pounds heavier than the original tires, so I expected some loss of fuel economy, but it's only 1 MPG less than the previous tires, which were worn almost down to the wear bars, so would have less rolling resistance than new tires. Finally, I've taken it on a rough, unimproved road, after breaking it in for 500 miles, and it handled that perfectly as well. Overall, I can't be more pleased, and recommend it to owners of Outbacks with the 225/65r17 tires, who want to occasionally drive off the pavement and not worry about sidewall damage driving on a street tire.

Great tires!

I have 110K on these tires, still with plenty of tread, but the rubber is now dry and cracking, so I am replacing them. They have been great through many trips to the ski basin and my 100 mile per day commute.

Great tire for my 2011 Traverse AWD

I bought these to replace another brands high efficient tire which gave great gas milage but terrible traction in the snow. These are great in the snow, with quite ride, and good handling on the highway. Did lose 2-3mpg on average though.

Thanks for taking the time to submit a review, 2018 Volt! Regarding the gas mileage, new tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

The promise delivered!

Only had these tires a few days but the very reason I bought them was for the rain (Washington) and I got the chance to put them to the test. A few days before I purchased these tires I did not feel safe on the rain and the tires I replaced were not severally worn. The stability and performance doing the rain was amazing never felt safer with the purchase of these Michelin tires.

Great company, disappointing tire

I bought these a few years ago and I’m sorry to say that they have worn much faster than advertised. They are somewhat loud on the highway but that is certainly not a dealbreaker. I’ve always been a big fan of Michelin tires but this set was disappointing. I’m ready for a new set of tires and I only have 46,000 miles on what’s supposed to be a 70,000 mile tire.

Eli, sorry to read the tires need to be replaced. The club where you purchased the tires should be able to assist with the limited treadwear warranty. Basically, you'll get credit based on the mileage you received, and that credit applies to the purchase of replacement tires. Have the dealer contact us with any questions.
