If your priority is a matte and shine-free face, it may be convenient to opt for a specific mattifying first and then use a lighter sunscreen. If you have oily skin, this product may not be the best long-term option. Although at first it acts well as a primer, with the passing of the hours the light oily foam resurfaces and gives a shiny finish. It is an excellent primer and provides a high enough rating SPF that I don't have to apply any face sunscreen under or over my makeup. Worn by itself it can feel just a tiny bit greasy in my forehead as I have combination type skin, but under even light makeup it feels light and keeps my face moisturized. I would recommend this to anyone who uses a primer and spends time outside to protect from sun aging.

It applies very smoothly and does not pill up underneath my other skincare or when I put makeup on afterwards. I really appreciate that. It does not have any fragrance, and does not irritate my sensitive skin. The white tube it comes in is simple and portable. I have applied this SPF over my makeup as well for reapplication throughout the day and found that it was really great for that, too. It has a whipped, lightweight texture that is reminiscent of a gel. The product easily glides onto the skin and doesn't cling to any dry patches either. I would happily recommend this to anyone who is looking for a clear SPF that doesn't feel overly silicone-like and is a great base for makeup.
