I love the bike so far. I have some balance problems that is why I decided to get this 3 wheel bike. It toke me a little more than 2 hours to put it together with a few tools. The fender that covers the wheel is bent so I need to take it off and fix it. There is two things I do not like about it. The seat is not that controvertible so it need a cover or a better seat. There is no speeds on it so I cant change gears.

I had admired these for a long time in-club and never splurged on one, but finally received one as a gift. (Yay!) I assembled it myself on Christmas Day with not too much difficulty; the hardest parts were (1) trying to decipher the generic, for-multiple-models instructions and pictures and (2) torqueing some of the bolts because I had a ridiculous case of tennis elbow. The first day I rode it I heckled one of those multi-person party bikes (search "Savannah Slow Ride" for visual) and gave a handful of tourists a good giggle: a rider proclaimed, "We just got lapped by a grown woman on a tricycle! I love this town!" and received a riotous amount of laughter. I also receive regular compliments from pedicab operators, giggles from pedestrians, and wide-eyed appreciation from school children... so at least I know this thing is high-visibility! Riding it takes some getting used to, though - I keep trying to lean into turns rather than steer - but I'm really enjoying this trike. The rear basket is perfect for small grocery loads and is surprisingly stable. I've yet to spill any drink accidentally forgotten back there, even an open Solo cup full of soda, despite riding haphazardly over cobblestones and potholes! Best gift ever. It's fun, silly, attention-grabbing, and actually pretty darn practical. Love it.

I'm 29 and am disabled from a stroke. My right side is affected, making the balance and coordination to ride a regular bike difficult. It took a few days, but I'm now able to ride it perfectly. The third wheel in the back allows me to ride without falling. The low frame makes it easy to get on and off. I'm ecstatic to be able to ride again! That said, it is not totally perfect. I'm lucky in that my Dad was around to assemble this for me. I don't think I would've been able to build it by myself. The process took around 2 hours for my mechanically inclined father. Also, the hand brakes leave something to be desired. Because I can only grip the left side, I'm only able to stop the front wheel. It slows the bike very slightly, but more often I have to use my feet to brake. This is a great option for disabled/elderly people looking to ride a bike. I couldn't ride a normal bike, so I'm thankful to have found this. However, the assembly is pretty involved.

I have been wanting this kind of bike for a long time. My husband and I assembled it without killing eachother, lol. It wasn't bad, a little frustrating, but no big deal. I haven't been on a bicycle since I was a kid, and my balance isn't the best. I was concerned about the weight limit, but as you can tell in the picture below, it fits me just fine. :) I can now go riding with my kids, and plan to take it instead of driving my truck when going to the store! I added a bell, two mirrors, and a cell phone holder as well. I feel like a kid again, and love the color!!

It's very sturdy but also lightweight. Very easy to ride and load into the back of my truck. The basket is big enough to carry quite a bit of stuff, including a couple small dogs. I absolutely love it! I bought it to allow my big dog to run alongside me as I ride. I felt on a two wheel bike she could maybe pull me over too easily.

A two wheel bike has vulnerabilites such as if my Pit-Boxer mix takes a sudden and unexpectant lung at a cat in the road. This three wheel bike offers a considerable safety increase and a more leisure experience when I take one of my dogs (Pit-Terrier / Pit-Boxer / Chihuahua) for a ride. This bike soon became one my favorite bikes when the dogs comfort level with the bike settled, I was able to spend more quality time with each dog individually and the dogs exercise needs/limits were met with each ride. Not to mention sitting causually on the bike as I let my dog sniff and wander through the park on paved paths. The bike is a heavy bike, no light-weight metal alloys here. I chose to assemble it myself (a two person job for a more fun experience) and the fenders do require a bit of patience and uniformly tightening like lugs nuts on a tire. Seldomly a push here and there on the rear fenders when it rubs on a tire, usually from a considerable jolt during riding. The bike is a noisy bike; it rattles over bumps and rough terrain and is a single speed bike with front and rear brakes. But make no mistake this a paved or well grated/compacted road type bike. The seat is wide and average but adjustable to front tilt up or down as well as the seat post height. These are nominal drawbacks when you remember this is an inexpensive bike and not made in the USA. This is an adult bike and an immature rider would probably not treat it properly causing consistent problems requiring adjustments after each ride. Paint job is really good making for a good looking adult toy; I chose the gun-metal gray. The tires are 26 inch x 2.0 heavy duty tires but still susceptible to thorns and stickers so I ordered/installed some tire liners, another advantage to assembling it yourself. Since this is also the same size tire for my other bike this made tire accessories easier such as spare inner tubes, tire liners and tires. The Ventura Easy Mount Mesh Bicycle Basket also sold by WalMart fits perfectly on the front handle bars while not resting on the front fender, the brake cables comfortably sit behind this basket and I removed the removable basket wire handle since the basket is permanently secured to the handle bars with zip-ties. This offers additional cargo space in addition to the rear basket. The rear basket when installed is not removable. The rear basket is roomy and sturdy for all my/dog water needs, bike cable lock, camera, jacket/sweater or whatever. The rear basket wire construction allows you to be creative and install military type pouches MOLLE or ALICE clip varieties. Overall if you are a mature, easy going rider that won't mind a single speed bike (good workouts) and/or are an avid dog walker then you would like this bike. I have not regretted the purchase one bit and I am glad I did. I love my tricycle!

I have had my meridian for 2 yrs. & at first I didn't ride cuz I was 430 lbs. now I'm 350 & ride every day( & lov'in it) I've got to used to the single speed. I'm now adding a 5 speed gear box & rear derailer & shifter, replacing the inverted drum brake & sprocket. I guess I'm lucky I rebuilt bicycle's 35 yrs. ago for a hobby. I'm looking for extra wheels & parts but am happy to keep this one tiptop. I'm very interested in how they can sale a aluminum frame for just 20 $ more, maybe since I love mine so much I'll buy one & use my old one for parts. I also built a wooden box on back for my walker,(don't get around so well) & tools. I would love to give any one info on making there Meridian special. The finders are easy to adjust & I did see replacement bearings for the rear to solve the clicking noise on ebay. Maybe in a year I'll try cross country. You should see the looks I get now.

I was having trouble balancing on a standard bicycle and fell several times. With the adult tricycle, this is no longer a problem. I can enjoy getting my exercise riding. I would recommend it to anyone who is a senior citizen with balance problems if you want to regain this freedom and spend time with friends who enjoy riding as well.

I love the look and construction of the bike. My problem with it is that the steering seems wrong. It is hard to keep the handlebars from turning to the right or left while trying to go straight ahead. We are wondering if it was put together properly or if our adjustments are just not right. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated! I bought the bike for therapy as I have Parkinson's. Sure hope we can get it to feel more stable.

I've ridden this trike for about a total of two hours now and I'm digging it. It's not too bad of quality, and as someone who does not know how to ride a 2-wheeled bike, I'm quite satisfied so far. Hopefully it keeps riding as smoothly as it has been. The rear brake handle is hard to squeeze, might be something to do with how it was assembled, but those with weaker grip would want to keep that in mind when considering options. That's my only "con" so far. It's quite stylish too - has nothing to do with the quality of the product itself, but it's definitely an added bonus. (To those with intermediate to no experience assembling bikes: You will probably want to get it assembled by a professional. My father is a mechanic and was pretty grumpy the entire time during the assembly.)
