I believe the technology allows for the washer to communicate with the dryer to determine drying needs. What a perk.

Purchased a washer/dryer pair for a new house because the brand was consistently rated high or highest in a national consumer testing magazine. Not a fan of the ThinQ. Have no interest in operating my dryer with an app. Three months in and unit is quiet, efficient and fast drying. Time will tell but very pleased so far.

I just finished my first load of t-shirts wih this machine and I can't express how much worth every penny it is worth. I mostly wear band tees from concerts I go to and have always lined dried them. I was worried about drying them in the dryer for the first time, however, the delicate cycle knocked it out in 34 min and felt great coming out! I split my shirt load into 2 loads, however, I'm certain I could have done it in 1 load.

We've been using the washer and dryer set for over a month and love them! The dryer is so quiet, fast, and the clothes seem to be softer than what the old dryer has able to dry even with the dryer sheets! My wife was a little uncertain about using the single dial, but now she loves it! Especially the ThinQ link from the washer communicating with the dryer to set the dryer setting! Only complaint is that the internal light does not turn on and stay on when the door is open.

In May 2023, we bought the LG 7.4 cu. ft Dryer along with the LG 4.5 cu. ft Washer. Both appliances have so far functioned excellently, and they provide more features than I probably will ever use, but at the same time "quick settings" that are ideal for most needs! But even tweaking the standard settings is very easy. The Dryer developed a crack in the frame of the lint filter, which was replaced by LG in a very short period of time and without any fuzz. So I also like customer service! I am very happy with both appliances and would purchase them again. Is there anything that could be improved upon? Of course, there (almost) always is. The sensor buttons for "on/off" and "go/pause" are too easily triggered by just leaning over the appliances, for instance. Real push buttons would probably be better. Secondly, the light goes on in both appliances when they are finished, which is great. However, even if I try to get to the appliances right away, often times the light does not stay on long enough to unload them. 30 to 60 seconds more would be very helpful - another option is to trigger a time interval when the door is opened.

Excellent dryer. This dryer actually connects to the compatible washer to automatically determine the best cycle and temperature for the load. WiFi controllable with application notifications. Also Alexa and Google compatible. I am very impressed with this dryer..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and it has performed flawlessly. I really like the features and being able to control the cycles from the phone app. It has cut laundry time in half compared to my old unit.

It’s a good dryer but the settings are frustrating. For example, if I use a cycle and my clothes don’t get dry I can change the cycle the next time to continue until they are a little more dry. I also find it frustrating that there is no way to keep the drum going with no heat until I can unload the clothes. I go to the dryer as soon as it stops. The clothes aren’t completely dry, warm and in a wrinkled pile. Had I known the lack of control in the varied cycles I wouldn’t have purchased. The additional features like Keep Fresh do nothing to prevent wrinkles.

The DRYER DOOR gasket is FLAWED. Lint collects on bottom rim of door seal and the actual bottom rim of dryer itself. This problem apparently has been noticed for several YEARS in other LG dryer models. WHAT the HECK??? Someone on one of the sites purchased weatherstrip seal to put around the rim. THIS is ridiculous. I would like LG to fix this dryer seal problem. Apparantly a gap between the drum and dryer door. LG can you fix this for me???????/ This won't let me upload images
