A great replacement for our old pergola. Now we can enjoy our deck even in the rain. Two of us unpacked the kit and didn’t notice one piece missing. Kudos to customer service who shipped the piece in two days! Took two of us about 18 hours to assemble, with a little help from a third. Now if it stands up to upstate NY snow it’ll be a total winner.

I think it should be said that this build will take considerable time for anyone who has not built one of these before. The amount fasteners and pieces in the kit is pretty daunting at first. 3 people is probably the right number for efficient assembly. I did it with 2 and some of it just myself. point of note I also raised mine 12" on pilings which added some complexity to the assembly.

I was very impressed with the quality of the Brindlewoood Gazebo , assembled by my self with some help from my wife , quality is really high, and if I had any questions, the service was absolutely fantastic, needed additional support, got it, very professional company to deal with, highly recommended. You just can’t find service like that anywhere anymore. Thanks

We bought this to add another seating space to our back yard for our son's graduation. We received several compliments from our guests. The finished piece is beautiful, my only warning is to read each step of the directions to the end before beginning the assembly. Some of the directions are a little difficult to understand even after reading them several times. This is by far not our first large assembly which required following multiple pages of directions and we still had to redo a few things after we realized we did them wrong.

I just finished construction of my Norwood 12x16. We picked the BD Norwood based on the reviews and its certified ratings for wind and snow loads. Overall, the DIY build process was great. A lot of engineering went into the design and fabrication of this product. Everything was packaged and properly identified. Nothing was damaged in shipment. The instructions were very clear but did not show how to do certain steps. A Youtube video would be helpful. I (68) did 90% of the work by myself, working 3-4 hours per day over 7 days. The hardest part was lifting and positioning the roof panels onto the structure. My wife (65) and I did this ourselves using multiple straps and step ladders to install each panel. Having additional helpers would have made the process much easier! Squaring up the structure is critical to success. At the end, we had only two bolt holes (rafter clips) that did not line up perfectly. Structurally, this gazebo is a beast and I have no doubts about its integrity. However, the appearance is probably its best feature. The gazebo is beautiful! This is a relatively easy DIY project and I would highly recommend BD as a source for any outdoor structure. Now to add the decking!

It is a beautiful addition to our large backyard and even though the description is accurate, I didn't realize how huge it would actually be in the space. My only criticism is that the instructions say it is a two-person build and "a third person would be helpful to install the roof." This is a huge understatement. We had four adults and it still took us 8 hours. The roof was especially precarious and we ended up purchasing an additional 6 hurricane clips to ensure safety. Do not attempt with only two people! I love it so much and cannot wait to add lights and a sound system. A couple pieces came slightly damaged, but not enough that we wanted to wait for replacement parts to assemble. Also, MOST of the pre-drilled holes aligned perfectly, but a few did not and required some creativity and muscle to make them work. When all was said and done, only the middle hole in the center of the roof and one hole a the end of the roof didn't align. It still feels quite sturdy. The video tutorial was helpful, but not perfect; pay attention to the angles of the brackets and try to keep pieces organized--the bags/boxes are labeled with the piece name/number, but not the individual pieces.

I purchased this for our vacation lot in Wyoming, what I really liked is the craftsman ship of the material and they rate their gazebo to specification that exceed Wyoming winter weather. Instructions are easy to follow, written very well and the mobile app helps with any questions on on assembly by giving you a 3D visual.

Hi everyone buying the Brindlewood. We just put 12x10 Gazebo together. 1 This was a very time consuming process forsure with 2 of us being in construction for many years lets say. 2nd instruction were not so easy but we got through it . 3rd make sure you separate wood and also put some clear coat on all wood. (Wood is very soft too) 4th make sure you have everything i was missing some screws so i had to run to hardware store HD/lowes. NOW what we found out was some of board were not stright and we found out this whe putting together and when you go to put bolts through you need a drill forsure. So i love the way it look but i would check everything before you build one yourself agin not bad and not easy but 2 people can do it . Also we found put roof on last was easer then putting it on on the ground and 2 of us lefting it up. Anyway

The installation is a task!. But don’t be scared. Have a few friends ready to help. Especially when you get ready to lift the roof panels. Pay attention to the instructions and the positions of the wood/ bolts. Overall, fairly simple to install with common knowledge of building things. Beautiful outcome.

Looks nice but I'm concerned of the quality and durability. The ridge beam and side boards aren't very sturdy. The instructions need to be more descriptive and detailed. Some metal roofing sections were scratched and a board was mislabeled. I'm hoping the wind and snow capabilities claimed are accurate. Time will tell.
