I bought Samsung appliance set (Refrigerator, Microwave, Dishwasher) and none of them survived after 3 years. It's very disappointing that name value doesn't match quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a refrigerator that could stand up to the extreme temperatures in my garage as my previous one had failed on me due to extreme heat. I came across this one, "garage ready" fridge but was skeptical. After a few weeks of use, I’m seriously impressed. I was initially concerned it might be too small, but the interior space is well designed, providing plenty of space for my family needs. The only thing I miss is my previous bottom-freezer setup. With the freezer on top, I find myself bending down more often to reach everyday items. The only "down side" I could find, quite honestly. Overall, this fridge has exceeded expectations—it’s efficient, quiet, and tough enough for garage duty. Highly recommend for anyone needing a fridge under extreme weather conditions. I've been using it for a little while now, under extremely hight temps, and it's been working beautifully! Now I'll work on putting all my magnets back! I'm very excited and confident this will be here for a long time!

Extremely disappointed. The refrigerator stopped working after five years. Samsung authorized service center, service quick(they have about a one star rating with hundreds of reviews), charges $140 prior to the appointment. They said the compressor was bad. They replaced the compressor and the fridge stopped working less than a week later. Now they say the temp sensor is bad and it will cost $140+labor+parts. I didn’t realize this fridge wouldn’t last more than 5 years and a repair costs double the fridge price for the compressor and about half for a temp sensor. I wish I had seen the article about Samsung refrigerators receiving the most complaints. Samsung service center was also frustrating. So not only did the compressor fail around five years, so did the template/defrost sensor. Horrible quality. I won’t buy from them again.

It is stainless steel, but keep in mind it will show fingerprints. The freezer door can swing completely out, but the fridge door opens just enough to pull out the bottom drawer. I love that it opens from the sides. And the doors can be switched to open from either side. It doesn't swing enough to automatically close, so you have to forcefully push to close it. An alarm will beep if you leave it open for too long. There's no separate compartment in the fridge to store sticks of butter. At first, the temperature was set to 1 degree for the freezer and 35 degrees in the fridge. I downloaded the SmartThings (Samsung) app and adjusted the freezer temp to -1 degrees. It was very easy to do—I scanned the QR code & it immediately detected my refrigerator. There’s a cool feature called Power Freeze that rapidly freezes for up to 50 hours. If you live a hot climate like me, you’ll appreciate this feature. Essentially, it freezes items like ice cream or frozen foods that need to be immediately frozen. I turn it on after I make trips to the grocery store because during the summer, frozen items melt fast before I even get home. The other option is Power Cool, which works the same but for the fridge. It runs very quietly because I can't hear it unless I'm standing directly in front of it. And even then, it's only a subtle humming sound—no noisy knocking or bumping coming from it. The lights are a little dim, but that's probably because it's suitable for a garage. The app can be used for energy management, and it shows the energy usage in watts.

There’s a large produce bin at the bottom that can hold a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The SmartThings app lets you adjust the settings. I lowered the temperature in the freezer to negative one and fridge to 35. During the summer, you can turn on power freeze to preserve your food if it gets too warm (I.e. if you leave the door open too long letting in hot air). I love the stainless steel finish. It’s definitely an energy saver because I don’t hear it running loudly too often.
