Description of this item is accurate. The packaging was compact and the based was easy to assemble. Overall only 2 black screw/wing nuts were missing with the SmartBase. I hope the company can mail missing parts.

Zinus SmartBase

Great!  So easy to put together,  mostly just folding it out and fastening the legs in place.  I needed the queen size so bolting the two pieces was very simple.  It seems sturdy but lightweight enough for me to set it up by myself.

So easy to assemble

This is sturdy but it makes so much noise. It squeaks when you move.. it’s very annoying!

Quality control must of been out the day my item was made. The measurements where off,  and I couldnt usr the srews to tighten together., but I decided to keep it because I layed out the mattress on it and the matress was heavy.

Bed frame

Bought a new mattress for my son who outgrew his twin bed as he approached 5'11" tall. Came in a small box.  Unfolded the two sides and had it assembled in the room in about 15 minutes.  One consideration is how your headboard will line up with the frame.  Our prior frame/headboard combo allowed us to bolt the frame onto the headboard.  The headboard we had would not line up with this frame.  So, I was able to use three heavy duty zip ties to lash the two together.  Placing the headboard against the wall keeps everything secure.  The mattress we bought (a Serta gel foam) is slick on the bottom so slides easily on top of the metal frame.  So we bought some non-skid material that is used under carpeting.  That seems to work.  The height of the frame let us skip buying a box spring. The overall height of the bed is just right. Though we may add a sheet of 1/4" plywood underneath if we see that the mattress is squeezing through the gridlines of the Smartbase foundation.
