My father was a Chinese chef, and we grew up eating a lot of Chinese food. I LOVE this product!! It's not salty and has just the right of amount of asian seasoning. The vegetables have a great texture combination. The water chestnuts brings out the perfect crispiness! I add orange chicken or kung pao chicken to the vegetable chow mein and WAHH-LAA, feel like I'm eating at a good Chinese Restaurant! The only thing I DON'T like is the packaging. There are 6 individual servings, each packaged in a microwave safe plastic "pouch". The directions is on each pouch in black ink, and after microwaving as directed, the black ink bleeds onto your plate and stains it. HORRIBLE!

This chow mein is absolutely delicious! I put all of the packets in the crockpot on low for several hours for a large party in the evening. Just before serving I added about a 1/4 cup of soy sauce and a 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce. It was a huge hit. Everyone wanted the recipe! I would definitely choose this instant meal again. It saved me a lot of time so I was able to focus on cooking other foods.

I like it because the flavor is good, but with all frozen foods, the sodium is high. It tastes better than the chow mein from my local Chinese spot. I do not like that some of the vegetables and noodles do not get warm if I follow the directions for 3 minutes, but then if I let it stay in for 3:30-4:00, some of the noodles get overdone/dry (I suppose if you have a microwave higher than 700 watts, that won't be a problem). Despite that, I still really like this stuff, so much that I buy it every month during my monthly visit to Sam's.

I take these for lunch. They are the perfect size and are easy and fast to heat up.

For frozen, absolutely very good. Just add some sauce to it and it's even take-out worthy.
