This was our 2nd year purchasing the MM backpack set. This was an improvement from previous model as the main compartments to the bag are fabric lined. Side bottle holders still are poly lined and the lining peels after a few weeks of use. Annoying but still functional.

We have the dinosaur backpack being used August through October. If any part of the inside doesn't have extra lining, for the Dino, red, then it's shredding up and falling apart. I will be returning as a part of member satisfaction policy. Had bought a second one and it's going back, too. We had not used it yet. Too bad, because my kids loved it. They're not hard on it. Just a 1 inch binder, library book and lunchbox daily.

I've bought these MM backpacks for several years in a row and have always been pleased with the quality until this year. First, this backpack has always had a strong and funny odor. Even after washing it, I can still smell it wherever this backpack is. But more importantly, the seams are coming apart in various places around the backpack: near the zipper (causing it to get stuck), in the water bottle pocket, and in the interior pockets. I'm bummed because it's already at the point that I need to replace it after just 8 weeks of usage. I'll be going with a different brand this time.

Bought for both my son and daughter at the beginning of last September for school. My daughters in 1st grade and she was a little more rough on the bag but it held up. Unfortunately the top holder got caught on the car in May and broke but the bag itself held up really well. Definitely will be buying again this year!

Backpack

My first graders backpack ripped on the first day of school and my second graders ripped on the 3rd day of school.

Lining peels and leaves a mess everywhere. Very disappointed because my daughter loved this backpack.

Got this for my first grader. The zipper broke two weeks into the school year. Cute, but very poor quality.

Junk! Poor quality. The backpack only lasted 7 weeks. The top ripped out and inside lining fell apart. Don't waste your money!

My kindergartener is only in her first week of school and a main seam has already pulled out. Not happy.
