It is not uncommon to see a substantial drop in signal and speed of a device when connected outdoors compared to when it is connected indoors. Exterior walls use different construction materials and are more dense than interior walls, therefore your Wi-Fi signal does not pass through the exterior walls as well as they do for interior walls.
