Hello Michael420, VIZIO parental controls can be set when you are using the tuner to receive your TV signals, such as when you are using an antenna for Over-the-Air signals or when connected to cable TV directly from the wall (no cable box). The devices must be connected using a composite video cable or a coaxial cable, such as a VCR, satellite or cable box, or DVR. Parental controls can be set for program ratings, locking certain channels, and unrated content. For parental controls when using apps, the developers of each individual app on the SmartCast platform determine the availability of parental controls and how they are adjusted or made available.
