Faulty remote control

One week after buying/delivery, the volume buttons on the remote do not work. Could I please get a replacement remote? I feel either that is fair. Otherwise, I will have to return the TV for a full refund.

Please disconnect the TV from power for 5 seconds, then reconnect the TV to power, power the TV on and power cycle the remote. To power cycle the remote, remove the batteries from the back of the remote. With the batteries removed, please press every button on the remote a couple of times each. Then place the batteries back into the remote, make sure the backing is on securely, and test to see if the remote is now working. From the very beginning nothing worked. It updated for hours. Some how the tv finally came on. After a while all the channels disappeared. Then the tv started turning itself off. Nightmare.

I bought 7 of these Vizio television and just had the 3rd one break. All were bought in the last 2 1/2 years and this latest one lasted 9 months. I would not recommend this brand to anyone. Inexpensive is not always a good thing!
