Overall I am fairly happy with my purchase. The swing set quality seems really good for the money. It took me approximately 15 hours to put the set together solo. There are some errors in the instructions about what size of bolts to use but you immediately figure that out when the bolt doesn't reach to the other side of the wood. I recommend having three drills to use so you don't have to constantly be changing bits. Also separate the parts but leave the hardware in the bags. Time will tell to see the real quality of the set. I had really no problem with the wood splitting like a lot of other reviews say, just take your time when putting in the bolts and lag screws and don't over tighten them. Also don't have your drill set at high speed and on the drill setting because you will split the wood.

I was very impressed with the design of this swing set. Assembly was somewhat time consuming, but I put it together by myself in a weekend...and I'm relatively handy, but not a carpenter by any means. It comes in 3 large boxes....the best advice I can give is to get yourself a couple of fold up tables near where you will be putting the playset, unpack all of the boxes, and lay the pieces out in order (they all have a letter/number designation#. This will save you hours of time. The stakes that come with it are pretty flimsy, so I went to my local contractors supply yard and bought some 12" nail stakes #they're cheap# and used them with some zinc screws to hold it to the ground....now I'm pretty sure it could withstand a cat 5 hurricane.

We bought this swing set for our two young daughters and they love it! Putting it together was a huge task and took us about two days with two of us (three of us on day one). Going off of the recommendations of other reviewers we sorted and organized all the pieces before we started which helped tremendously. I also recommend having multiple drills to use. It was well worth all the hard work in getting it set up because our girls can spend hours playing outside on it!

Awesome craftsmanship along with sturdy build! Obviously built to be safe for children. Assembly wasn't extremely difficult and the manual was thorough and thought out step by step. Would highly recommend Backyard Discovery to all of my family and friends. Keep up the good work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] although it took four days for one person to assemble, it was well worth it. The kids absolutely love it and it seems to be structurally very sound.. After a Minnesota winter or two we will put it to the test. It snowed as soon as it was assembled (April 22 ) This did not stop the kids though!

We are so happy with our playset. Our kiddos and their cousins love it!! So much imagination and fun to be had. The different features of rock wall, slide, bottom little “house” area with locking door, stairs, and different swings make it a dream for our kids. We've had so much fun and play every day on it. We hired to have it put together and highly recommend unless you are very happy and have some free time - it was well worth the added expense. We love it!!

Logical detailed instructions. Sub divided large project into 14 small projects by printing out copy of instructions and seperating. First organized all the wood into 14 piles cooresponding to my 14 sub-projects (approx 2 hours). The reason I did this was to maximize productive time with my assistance over the weekend. On work day had 4 people. Team 1 started working on ladder, climbling wall, A-frame/swing beam while Team 2 started on Fort. By the time Team 1 had finished their part, base of fort was built. Then came together to do rest of project. Finished in 8 hours of work on Saturday including lunch break. Kids love it. 3 year old boy loves playing on top fort.

I've had this playset for over 8 months now. It is engineered well. I thought some of the boards were too thin, but after assembling it, they were fine. The ability to assemble this with the Built app was great. Made assembly really easy. I did have some screws that were missing and had a lot of spare screws and nuts left over. Some of the boards were hard to identify, but you eventually figure it out. After last winter, I noticed some bolts backing out. I will have to check all of them soon. It is recommended that you stain it every year. I'm not sure about that, but I'm going to try.

Definitely got 5 stars from the 3 yr old grandchild and with another on the way it will get years of use. Came at allotted time, all parts accounted for. My husband has his own woodshop, so he was not overwhelmed with this project but it did take longer then the time stated, A LOT longer, lol. Very well worth the time and effort to see the fun the little one is having.

My kids (4 and 1) absolutely love this backyard set, and it's a hit with the our neighborhood kids who are older too. I highly recommend this set! It took a minute to assemble, I recommend having at least two people put it together. I organized the pieces while my husband put it together.
