Buyers beware!

We bought this flooring for our condo in Florida. We loved the look and it was easy to install. A few months into installing the flooring we had issues with a few planks where the surface peeled. I contacted the company and they sent money to replace the planks. However, it isn’t an easy job pulling up flooring in the middle of the room! Fast forward to four years later. THIS FLOORING SHOULD NOT BE USED IN A KITCHEN OR BATHROOM! It does not do well with any water. We found mold on our flooring in the kitchen. No, water did not sit there for days on end like the company suggests. Obviously, you will have water spills near a kitchen sink, over time. It’s very disappointing to have to tear up and replace flooring after only fours years. So, BUYERS BEWARE, AND DO NOT INSTALL IN AN AREA THAT WILL GET ANY WATER!

Hello, We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Driftwood laminate flooring. The Select Surfaces Elite Collection laminates have tight fitting joints and acrylic lacquered bevel edges. These features combined provide added moisture protection compared to traditional laminates, however the laminates are still not waterproof. If you install this laminate in your kitchen, we recommend wiping up spills as soon as they occur to avoid damage. In areas where there is a risk of water spillage, we recommend installing either our Spill Defense laminates, which are waterproof for 24 hours, or our vinyl items, which are 100% waterproof. Misleading - 12MM Board Thickness not 14MM

This vendor is advertising this product as a 14MM product when it is actually a 12MM board thickness with 2MM of padding. Just about everyone else who sells laminate flooring in the US would consider this a 12MM product because that is what the board measures before padding. Why does it mater? If you competitive shop this product, you would compare it to other 12MM products - not 14MM products. Why Sams and this vendor have chosen to use a non-standard measurement is unclear, but it is very misleading.

Hello, Unlike traditional laminate flooring, our Elite Collection laminates have a pre-attached foam backer, which eliminates the need to purchase any additional underlayment. This is not the industry standard and most other laminates on the market do not have this premium feature. Each plank is 14 mm thick, which includes the 2 mm foam backer. I LOVE this floor!

Did I say that I loved? I do! I have an old house. It is not level. He is not straight. And I had a limited options on what to put down. I had just pulled up the last of my wall-to-wall carpet, which I hate. I paid someone to level the floor is best. And then my wonderful father came and laid down this floor. When we were finished it was the best kid ever. Heavy durable thank you ask this old house. Couldn’t be more pleased!

Looks Great. the only thing is I needed 32 boxes.

I neede 32 boxes. I was only allowed credit for 12 boxes at the special price. I never saw that there was a limit. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Terrible customer service

I have bought about 1100 sq ft of flooring from samsclub but stair noses are not available either in samsclub or select surface website. Select surfaces have never returned my 3 calls or replied to 2 emails.
