Fat tire was one of the first craft beers I tried and there was no looking back! As a long islander the beer that got me into craft was Blue Points Hospital Illusion. And I thought, what a great local beer. Cool. But then! Fat tire truly opened my eyes to the world of craft beer - and even made the trip out to Colorado to do a brewery tour a few years after that! The fact that it's a carbon neutral company increases the overall appeal, but the taste is also good enough that I would select Fat Tire over most other domestic beer options.

Used to be my favorite beer EVER!! I absolutely loved the ORIGINAL Fat Tire! Now, not so much...I lived in Cheyenne for 18 years and fell in love with New Belgium and ALWAYS has Fat Tire. Moved back East and continued to only buy Fat Tire. Then you changed the recipe. I've had distributors try and tell me you didn't, but you did. Now I don't even waste my time...

Fat Tire Amber was simply awesome. It was smooth and flavorful. It was like an old friend I could count on in times of triumph and times of sorrow. I saw the new version on the shelf and thought “they certainly made it better.” Wow, was I wrong. It was terrible. The flavor is gone. There’s almost nothing left. Please, please bring back the original.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Pours golden clear with thin white cap from bottle to pint glass. Reminiscent of a better old school amber with bready malty notes. Beautiful amber body, clear; decent carbonation; thick, frothy head, white and sticky; fat rings of foam inside the glass. Not a bad beer, certainly not a great beer. There beer has a notable lack of oomph to it.

I did have to make sure the beer was really cold for me to enjoy it but my husband on the other hand liked the beer all around. I will definitely be purchasing this beer again in the near future.
