It has a character that compares well to bourbon, and I think would be enjoyed by a bourbon drinker looking for something different. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this cognac neat. It had a medium body and mouth feel with hints of dried stone fruit and some characteristics of fortified wine. I'm really glad I was given an incentive to try this because otherwise I'm not sure it would have ended up in my rotation of sipping drinks. Note: The picture does not do the color characteristic justice, I'm not sure why it turned out so light but it's definitely darker in color.

Very fruit forward and is an excellent sip neat. I will now grab the XO for sure based on the flavor profile of 1738. Cheers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I usually sip whiskey on the weekends, but to celebrate a success/accomplishment for my husband, I decided to purchase this lovely bottle. I purchased both Coca Cola and ginger beer as mixers with a couple of fresh limes. We started with a quick shot or two, and WOW. I can’t say this is a drink I’d personally look forward to a shot of in the future, but it was easy to sip with ginger beer and a squeeze of lime. We both enjoyed it, and it made for a nice chill night together. Bottoms up!

Aged in toasted oak, the master craftsmanship of Remy Martin allows the accentuation of notes of rich caramel, tasty toffee, and delightful spices. The cognac feels smooth and creamy, and works excellently in cocktails as well as taken in a shot glass or over the rocks. You can taste the quality, and it feels like you’re drinking a luxury spirit. There is nothing but top shelf energy when it comes to the 1738. Serving this chilled does make all the difference, though! Be sure to plan accordingly. The liquor is much more delicate and complex when chilled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To the nose this cognac is smooth. To the mouth you get hints of vanilla, oak, and spiciness. Explodes in a grape fruity flavor and goes down smooth. I prefer my browns over a big block for a cool slow sip. Great pour and will add this to my bar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal Cognac is a really good cognac. It's smooth and doesn't have a real harsh taste or bite when drinking it and is my preferred cognac i would recommend others that are into brown liquor to give it a try

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remy Martin 1738 is one of my to-to cognacs, I feel like it’s a step up from the VSOP of the same name. It’s smooth and pairs well with a cigar (if that’s what you’re into), I personally drink all of my spirits neat and this one is no exception. Fair price point.
