Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce is hard to find around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm glad I bought it in Sams Club early

We buy Ocean Spray jellied cranberry sauce often at this time of the year. Buying it in bulk at Sam’s is more affordable than at the grocery store. We love the taste of it.

We all love this cranberry sauce and use it year round. It can be used in baking recipes, sauces for meats and sandwiches, smoothies, desserts, hot cereals even in ‘adult’ punches.. In anything that you would like a sweet cranberry flavor background.

Got it on deal for next year's Thanksgiving 2026

Not the product we grew up enjoying. About 10ish years ago, Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce switched from Cane Sugar to mostly High Fructose Corn Syrup and Corn Syrup as a cheap sweetener. This reduced the cost to produce a tiny bit, but most of us only eat cranberry sauce once a year or maybe mix it in a party gathering mix from time to time. For many of us, particularly those of us who have sensitive digestive systems, High Fructose Corn Syrup is a large contributor to our bloating and gut pains, known as SIBO, SIFO, IMO, IBS, Celiacs, and so on. GEFEN, WHOLE FOODS and some other brands use Cane Sugar and even though their economies of scale are much lower, they can still sell their product for $2.50 - $3.00 a can. I'd happily pay that for my health and the health of my guest. Even Cola brands are now going back to offering a Cane Sugar product version.

I will not buy canned goods in bulk again. Every single was severely dented. I used 2 cans on Thanksgiving only to find that 1/4 of the jellied cranberry sauce was smashed. I hope it ingredients do not go bad as they sit on the shelf longer. This was not the fault of the carrier as the outside box showed no dents or tears, but the inside box was ripped. That means it was packed with dented cans by Sam's club employees.
