if the pole sticks, use these instructions

i really like this product. I couldnt figure out who to extend the handle so i contacted the company, below is their response, it worked for us: Thank you for contacting Snow Joe The snow broom pole is shipped in the locked position form our factory. To open for the first time, screw the pole to the foam head. Twitch the bottom portion of the pole to the left and pull hard. You will only need to pull hard the first time you use the snow broom. To lock the lower pole, simply twist the pole to the right. Try pulling hard to unlock it for the first time. You will not need to do this again. It's a great product just for some reason our package pressure tightened them up too tight before shipping. Thank you and have a good day. Arleen Wittke 866-766-9563 www.snowjoe.com

Perfect for a taller vehicle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This telescoping snow broom is perfect for my minivan. It does take up more space than a typical snow brush, especially if you don’t want to take it apart after each use. But it’s worth it to be able to easily reach all the snow on my vehicle.

Best snow remover yet

Received this for Christmas, have only used it once. An excellent way to remove snow from my car. Couple of swipes and the car was clean. I will never use a brush again. The telescoping feature was a little hard to loosen up at first, but now it works fantastic!

Great Product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Snow Joe 2-in-1 Telescoping Snow Broom and Ice Scraper just in time to use during the snowstorms we have been having in my state the past few weeks. The wide broom is perfect for cleaning all the snow off my car and the ice scraper works great for any ice I have on my windshield. I like the extension pole, which makes it easy to get the hard-to-reach places on my car. The broom/ice scraper is lightweight, and the non-abrasive foam broom is safe to use and won't damage the paint on my car. I hope to get many uses out of the product in the next few winters and I like the fact that it disassembles for easy storage when not in use.

A "Must Have" in Upstate NY

We were staying at a friend's home about 50 miles away, and got hit with one last blast of snow. It was already spring and our snow brush had been put away for the season. They let us use their Snow Joe Broom, and it made it so easy to remove the 6" of wet, heave snow that covered our SUV, that when we got back home, I ordered 2 of them - one for us, and one for my daughter. I don't believe I'll have to use it until next winter now, but I'll be ready when Mother Nature comes a callin". It's very strong and won't scratch the vehicle.

Quick Snow Removal

Purchased 2 SnowJoes for Christmas. Recent 6" snowfall gave my SnowJoe a good test. Removed all the snow from pickup truck in about 15 to 20 minutes. Snow was light and fluffy, waiting for one of those wet snow falls for bigger test. Easiest snow removal ever!

Works well on solar panels

Bought this on sale so the price was right. I was surprised at the 'brush' size and material when I first got it, and a little chagrined that it was in two pieces. SnowJoe did the best they could by engineering clips on the brush to keep the two pieces together when not in use. Like others stated, the extension of the rod can be difficult and I'm considering spraying a teflon dry lubricant on it. But I also find the assembly a minor pain, even though it is quite simple. But, I climbed up on my roof with this snow broom and it swept about 4 inches of mildly wet snow off my 11 solar panels pretty much effortlessly, completely, and safely (i.e., didn't scratch or damage the PV panels). I'm pretty sure I won't keep one in my car because of its bulkiness, but it is perfect for what I bought it for.

Protect your paint from micro scratches with this!

I bought this about 4 years ago, and it's still doing it's magic! Owning an SUV in the winter and being 5'0 can be hard to get snow off the top. This works like a charm! One of the main reasons I bought this is to prevent scratching my car with bristles from a normal duster and scraper. The foam is safe on your paint. You will love this, I promise!

Throw your brush away, buy this, save your paint!

During test drives I asked the dealerships how they cleared snow from cars without scratching the paint. Every dealership uses this product and every salesman has one on their own cars too. For anyone living up north with a dark color car, this is a must have product. Very pleased!

I love the snow broom

We have had a very snowy, icy winter. The telescoping snow broom has made cleaning my car very easy. I rarely find it necessary to walk to the other side of the car to clean it. It can be done from one side except in extreme ice buildup. The only problem I found is that the handle loosens from the broom while using. However, I would still buy it again. I bought 2 and gave one to my daughter who loves it.
