I have used these chlorine tablets for years. Love Sam's Plus Membership as you get free shipping. So glad I found these online because I was having a problem locating them in store, locally.

These tablets release way too much Cyanuric Acid (CYA). We just opened our new pool and added stabilizer that would have contributed about 10 ppm. We added two tablets to the dispenser that haven't fully dissolved yet. These tablets should release about 2.5 ppm for a 10,000 gallon pool. Our pool is about 14,500 gallons. I took my first water test into Leslie's and my CYA was already at 31 ppm. It should only be half that. Leslie's said it was happening to other customers who bought their tabs from Sam's. Too much CYA will make your other pool chemicals have to work harder costing you more money. I don't like my CYA to get over 70, otherwise it causes issues. I will have to reduce tablets to 1 tab and probably drain partially before end of season. So while these tabs seem like a bargain, they're really not because it will cost more money to manage the CYA now. So if you use these, monitor your CYA levels and maybe use half the tabs you normally do.
