The label says 100% pure olive oil, but the ingredients list mentions refined. If it’s truly 100%, it shouldn’t say refined, yet no one can explain why. My previous purchases never mentioned refined.

This is processed oil, not cold pressed, therefore it has a higher smoke point and less flavor, which makes it perfect for sauteing. If you want flavor for dipping and salads, then get the cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. This is a healthy alternative to vegetable oil and canola oil.

Yes, utility grade. If you want an olive oil for fancy-shmancey stuff, then this will disappoint. This olive oil is light and clean, meaning there isn't much flavor, which works great for frying an egg or oiling a bread pan. We use this oil for pretty much everything. My wife and daughters use it in their hair! I've tasted the Cold-pressed EVOO that all the fang-dangled chefs tout and the flavor is mighty powerful, which is fine in a salad dressing, or maybe a particular dish which calls for strong flavors, but if you want a light, versatile oil that is healthy for you, look no further. This is it.

We've bought alot of these as they are a very mild oil useful in all my frying (except pancakes and similar). Great price for an everyday healthy oil. The only reason we have stopped ordering is not due to the products, it is the insistence on using FedEx to ship. Because of that we no longer order.
