We bought these scooters to take on our boat for when we travel and to avoid the costly golf cart rentals at the islands. They are beyond fabulous, so much so that we use them at home too! The charge lasts all day, and they are plenty fast for a beach trip or riding to dinner. Only word of caution is the battery doesn't last as long if they are left in the heat.

I bought this for my daughter's 13th birthday, but my 10 yo son just loved it, he won't stop playing with it. I probably should have bought two. This units is well made, really fun, great features, LONG battery, plenty of speed and power, even I use it (200lbs) without a problem.

I actually got this as a Christmas gift for my son who lives in the city and I gave it to him early. He absolutely loves it. It's very durable, not a toy and so far it's been a great way to get around.

Pros: Simple, light, sturdy, easy to use. Cons: Handlebar grip plugs keep coming out. Rubber cushion on back fender won't stay on. Still well made and well worth the money.

Bought this for my wife who is well within the weight limits and is fine with 12mph top speed and limited range. I figured this one actually had a warranty and I bought an extended so should be ok.

This scooter is Great!! It's very light to carry, battery lasts forever and the speed it goes is Awesome!! I Love to riding it to run arronds, Great buy!

Just picked up my Segway ES1 this morning and I have been riding it all day. It has exceeded all of my expectations. You can tell its well built and sturdy, the battery lasts a long time and I don't think I would want it to go any faster. I highly recommend this item. I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid.

I purchased this one month ago, and I like the build. It feels stronger and sturdier than other models I've tried. I'm glad that it can fold up and compact so that I can put it in my car. The one thing I didn't like is the cheap plastic clip that holds the scooter in the closed position broke when I took the Segway out of my car and it bounced on the wheel on the floor. The clip broke in 3 pieces, and I can no longer keep the Segway folded. Customer support answered quickly and I should be getting a clip replacement. But I know it will break again, this clip needs to be a metal piece, not a plastic piece. Sooner or later, this clip will probably break for everyone.

First - I will say these are great scooters in the following - comfortable, lots of features like cruise and regenerative braking, real speedometer, etc. I bought 2 of these (twin boys). They enjoyed them for just over 2 months. One of them died (tried everything including taking top piece off and back on) but it would not power back on. The second one was having issues charging - the connection was very loose and was on the verge of not being able to charge at all. It had to be positioned just right and even then it would stop charging in the middle of a recharge. If these were more reliable I would highly recommend them. I just can't being with the issues we had. I am Thankfull for the 90-day return policy but these are just too expensive to have issues that quickly. The only other negative was the side grips kept popping out which I have read is common. Had we kept them I would have glued or taped them on.

Even with fully charged battery this scooter will shut off when temps outside drop to below 45 degrees. Does it consistently. If you try to commute on it on the colder days - forget it.
