I shopped around for almost a year for a greenhouse. I almost went with an option that would have granted me a preassembled or assembled on-site. But it would not have had all of the same features.That is offered by a backyard discovery. Zalie is a beautiful greenhouse. There are a couple of things I would change. I wish it had an additional window opening in the ceiling of the greenhouse. I'm also not a huge fan of the windows. There is a slight gap there, that if it had windows that opened that particular gap would not be there.

After pricing the lumber to build our own custom greenhouse, we realized what a good deal this was. We expected it to be on the flimsy side, but we were pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is. The instructions were clear, everything was labeled well, and we received all the pieces we were supposed to. The build took us about a week - including adding stain/sealant. All the holes aligned and builder hubby was surprised at the tight fits and alignments. The only hard part was caulking the roof panels. The inside is adorable - and plenty big enough for our needs. It's amazing how many extras (like the fan and heat sensor and adjustable shelves) are included in this price. We are extremely satisfied with this product, and highly recommend it.

It is a beautiful greenhouse! Quality materials and should last a long time. Building it would have probably taken me a month, by myself, so I hired a contractor and they had two people build it in two days. They commented that that the design and build of the greenhouse was meticulous and that BYD thought of everything. Overall the contractor was very impressed with it and so am I! My only challenge now is figuring out how to keep the greenhouse cool enough to use during our hot Georgia summers.

I'm very pleased with my recent purchase of the Willow greenhouse! Adding a greenhouse to my garden had been on my to-do list for quite a while and I am really happy with my decision to purchase this brand. I assembled this mostly solo, only needing to call upon my partner for a couple of steps where his height or extra set of hands were crucial. I found the instructions easy to follow, and the pieces well labeled, with almost all holes pre-drilled and ready to go. The completed greenhouse is not only beautiful to look at, but the wood pieces, panels, and parts all seem to be high quality. Are there a lot of parts? Yes. Will it take a good amount of time to complete? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely! My foundation took me at least as long as building the greenhouse did, because I choose to go with pavers. Gravel would have been immensely easier, but I wouldn't recommend it based on friends who have done this with their greenhouses. A poured concrete slab would have probably been the best option, and what I would do if I did it all again. I would recommend maybe 4 days to build it if you are working mostly solo and not rushing, like I was. Half a day to unpack and organize before you actually get to the fun part of building. It is all very well packed, but it is not packed in the order that you need the parts, so pre-organizing it is essential to making the rest of the project go smoothly. You will need space to do this. This is very clear in the instructions as well. I kept a table set up near my build space, for all the parts/tools. For the greenhouse itself, I built it all the way up to before installation of the poly panels, then I applied the required sealant via spray application, to the frame inside and out. I also laid out all the other all the other remaining pieces at that point and sprayed those, so they were ready to go after the panels went in. That part only took a couple of hours. I hardest part was the roof, which took almost a full day in itself, due to all the up and down on the ladder. I am only 5'2", and even on a ladder, reaching as far as possible, I wasn't able to reach the center area of the roof in other to screw on the metal seam covers or apply sealant. Even my 6'2" partner found this a bit awkward/difficult. But we got it done. Once I got the door and window on, the plants moved in and I took my time with the other accessories because I don't currently have the power/water lines available yet. Oddities I ran in to: There were two holes not pre-drilled on the top frame pieces, that should have been. Easy fix, but it threw me off for a bit because I had to go back and re-check all the prior steps to make sure I hadn't made an error. At the very end we noticed there was also an extra pre-drilled hole in the top frame above the door, that wasn't utilized in the instructions- again- had to re-read everything to make sure I didn't miss a step. I wish they would have sent a real tube of silicone that goes in a caulking gun instead of the ones they did. Most people who own the other required tools- drill/square/rubber mallet/crescent wrench's, own a caulking gun. Finally, there are a LOT of extra parts left over when you are done, it's okay, don't sweat it. And hey, I had an extra part for the mysterious extra hole above the door, that matched everything else perfectly, so all is well that ends well. All these things are very minor in the big picture; I mention them only because I think they can be helpful to anyone still getting ready to do their own build. So long story, short, I can honestly say this kit is high quality and has many of the little extras you might be left wanting, if you go another route. To me it was worth the money and time spent and look forward to enjoying it for the many years I know it will last!

After sorting and organizing all the components, we spent a week assembling our green house. We are impressed by the quality of the materials, the thoroughness of the directions, and the ease of the fit and overall construction. Our plants are very happy and we love the thoughtful design with shelves, water supply, and air flow. We are looking forward to many years with our green house.

there were a few hiccups along the way, but we were able to get it put together. Still need to varnish and put up a gutter, but it's very nice and will definitely do the job. it looks very nice.

Do not rely on just the tie down pegs. Claims it will withstand 100 mph winds. We had winds around 70 mph and greenhouse was blown over in the wind. The metal used to put pegs thru bent in half. Pegs did not hold the greenhouse down. Use concrete or a better tie down method. Greenhouse was damaged when it blew over.

I purchased my Willow 9x6 greenhouse in July but waited a few months to build it. It was too hot here in southern California to comfortably do that kind of work in the summer. In the meantime, I put Penofin stain & sealer penetrating oil on all the wood components. All the parts arrived in perfect condition. As a 65 year old woman (able-bodied with fairly basic DIY skills), I am proud to say that I constructed the entire greenhouse myself -- zero assistance from anyone! It's my first project as a retiree. The instruction manual is detailed and well illustrated. Whenever I was not precisely sure about something, the BILT app clarified the situation. I mostly followed the instructions closely. The exception to this was roof construction. Because I was working solo, I couldn't build the roof and then hoist it into place. Instead, I simply first installed the purlin cleats and rafters and then attached the purlins to them (a much easier method, I think). My Willow is anchored to a foundation of pressure-treated 4x4s that are attached to 8 buried 29-lb concrete piers (metal straps shortened with a hacksaw). I made the floor of square 12-inch concrete pavers and gravel. The most difficult aspect of this project was installing the metal splice covers and the metal trim around the edge of the roof -- they lack pre-drilled holes and I'm not particularly comfortable standing on the fourth rung of the ladder. I am thrilled to finally have a greenhouse! It's something I've wanted since I was a kid. After over a year of shopping online (investigating all the possibilities for small greenhouses), I decided to purchase the Willow because it had consistently excellent reviews that mentioned the quality of materials, clear instructions, and attentive customer service (I didn't have to consult customer service!). Although the price has increased by $200 since I purchased mine, I still think it's a great value. Now, I'm excited to fill it with plants. In the summer, I expect to need to cover it with shade cloth.

We cannot believe how easy this was to put together with the amazing instruction manual. The wood is alll straight and all the pre drilled holes line right up. The hardware is great and coated very well. I cannot believe they can sell this great of a product so cheap. I usually do not leave reviews but this greenhouse is amazing. We live in Oregon where it rains all the time and I know this will last for years and years. It does take some time to build but we are so glad we went this route.
