I am a huge fan of reds and this one, despite the recommendation to pair it with chicken, went great with my steak pizzaiola. Its little fruity and mildly intense. Even my hubby had few sips, and he doesnt even drink wine. #winwin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is something g about the cold weather months that fuels my thirst for a nice glass of red wine. Last night was no different. After spending the evening working a hockey game, I grabbed the Campo Viejo Tempranillo from the wine rack and threw on a Led Zeppelin album. It was just what I needed. It burst with fruit flavor while maintaining an appropriate and pleasurable dryness. The bottle only gave its a complexity rating of two, but as I sipped it hints of vanilla and spice unveiled itself that could easily bump this to a three. Scanning the QR code on the lab took me directly to their website, where I learned they make a Rose (sparkling and still) out of this very same grape. I can't wait to try them!!

I have just recently tried this red wine. Was never particularly in to reds but this one is smooth not bitter and possibly has me rethinking red wine..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great red! I love Tempranillo and this is one of my go-tos. It’s just the right amount of dry and sweet. The price point isn’t bad and I think it’s great for company or for a host!

It can be hard to find a nice bottle of rioja in the supermarkets, but this is a solid one! I am partial to Spanish reds, and while this isn’t the best one out there, it is very reliable at a reasonable price point.
