I don’t like the beer on its own. But, it’s my favorite beer to drink in a michelada. I love how fresh the beer is and it’s perfect for a summer night! I like the negra modelo more on its own I find it to taste smoother. This modelo on its own tastes very bitter to me.

I'm a fan of beer, but typically bourbon is preferred. I've tried just about every beer on the market. I hadn't bought it in such a long time I decided to get some to change things up. I hadn't realized how much the cost of beer had gone up in the last year or two. I don't know if I've ever bought Especial and it's probably been a decade or more since I've tried it. It was on sale so I figured I'd give it a try. It's ok, but it doesn't do anything special for me. I like niche beers, IPA's and some microbrewery stuff. For those that say this is the BEST beer probably haven't branched out and tried many others. Yes, it's mild and refreshing, but there's not much flavor. Maybe similarly to a Corona you can get more out of it with some salt and lime, but you shouldn't have to modify it to make it better. I do like a Modelo Negra with a twist of lime while at a taqueria as that has more to offer than Especial. This is by no means a bad beer and it's definitely better than domestics like Budweiser and Coors, but it's not the 'best.'

Modelo is a perfect sitting around to go to beer just social drinking. It’s easy to get down eight has a great price it’s not too expensive and mostly really likes it so you buy it bring it to a party everybody’s probably going to drink. I would definitely buy again.

Great taste, good alternative to corona. Foil wrapping around the top is a tad annoying. You either spend too much time peeling the foil or you end up with the foil in your mouth as you drink it. Good only if you have time to peel the foil back or you’re planning to drink out of a glass.

Love a modelo in the summer, but only in the summer. There’s something special about this Mexican larger that can’t be stated. It’s light without losing flavor, not too heavy, and an all around solid beer. Definitely better than Corona but on the same level as Pacifico.

The worst beer in the world is here in the United States, not far from Mexico. The flavor is special. Here in the USA it comes and is very burnt or stale as we say there. Poor people here have nothing else to consume but this aged, stale, bad tasting beer all the time. The recommendation is not to store it for a long time. The flavor and freshness are far from reality.

Great go to party beer. Love using tajin or another type of beer salt to go with it, or of course a slice of lime. There is not much to improve this product. I feel like its reasonably priced, cute little bottle, and darn good to drink:) I will be re-purchasing

I enjoy it’s taste whenever I go to Mexican restaurant. Firstly, the aura is too good and so is the Modelo drink if you are lucky enough to get it. I must say it’s bitter in taste than the regular but not much and on the rocks is always preferred by me instead of any soft drinks.

An okay Mexican beer, it's a good option but not my favorite. It is super cheap though and a very easy light beer to drink so if that's what you're looking for this is a great option.. I do think it tastes better in the bottle or on tap than in the cans!

How does this beer have a 2.85 rating? What were people expecting, Heady Topper? lol This is an adjunct lager - and a good one, really - simple, clean, mild, and super-drinkable - coulda killed six fer sure - actually a little heartier and more flavorful than I expected - juicy?!? lol - decent body, nice feel - I really dug it - you might see more of this in my immediate future - gotta validate my initial impression, of course...
