Gross

I've always bought the George's Farmers Market chicken, which was always amazing, but Sam's stopped carrying it, so I gave this another chance (I had tried prior to using the other brand). Super disappointed. Even my non-picky kids and husband were grossed out with how tough this is. I' ll try the pressure cooker next time, but I'm not optimistic.

Frozen with bones

Bought this today and when i got it home and had lots of cartilage. Bones. And ice on it where it was still frozen yet claims to be "always fresh NEVER FROZEN" on the packaging. I only bought it for fresh meats. Yet they fail also. Extremely disappointed.

It's all by luck

If you're lucky and get a fresh pack, it's a good value. I've had to return some because it wasn't fresh, dry texture and bad smell. I have been lucky when I pick a pack on the bottom, closer to the cold. They really should think of a way to have a cover...over the cooler unit to maintain freshness.

Off Taste

The last few times we purchased this chicken it had what I can only describe as an “off” taste. As if it had been in an old musty freezer for far too long. Ended up throwing out the last batch for fear it would cause food poisoning. Will not be purchasing chicken at Sam’s anymore.

Bones, fat, blood vessels

Boneless? Not quite. These are terrible. I've tried them numerous times. I buy three trays at a time and repackage them to freeze. Each time I've purchased them I have to throw away about a trays worth of bones, fat, blood vessels, and rib meat. It ends up equaling the same cost as buying chicken breasts from a brand like Tyson and I save time/irritation because I don't have to spend an hour trimming the meat.

Good taste But Extra Work is Needed Before Cooking

The chicken tastes good (I bake it in the oven and use the meat for recipes throughout the week.) I have kept it in the fridge right up to the best by date before cooking with zero problems in quality. The only complaint I have is that the butchering? seems pretty haphazard. Some huge pieces and then tiny ones so I have to portion everything further to cook at the same time. And there is always a ton of fat, bloody sections and fibrous connective tissue that I have to go through and remove. I just wish the chciken were prepared for sale a little more consistently.

Drastic drop in quality

In recent months, the quality of the Member's Mark chicken breast pack has been plummeting. Rotten meat and freezer burn have become common in multiple chicken breasts per pack. Worst still, the bad meat is purposely hidden behind the blue Member's Mark logo while the good meat is visable behind the transparent plastic to trick consumers.

Gross over & over

I'm not sure why I continue to give this chicken a chance. It's more times than not tough & extremely chewy no matter how it's cooked. I never have this problem with other chicken breasts from other brands/stores. Value of getting this is not worth the horrible quality.

Wound not recomend

I am a new member and decided to try these chicken breasts as my first attempt to use the meat department of my sams club. They were not good at all. I used them in 2 different recipes and they're the same recipes I've used a hundred times. They aren't bad as in they've gone bad, but they cooked up with a super bizarre tough/rubbery texture. I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Hit or miss

Most of the time, you get juicy chicken breasts that cook up wonderfully. Sometimes you get chicken breast that feels stringy and lumpy even before you cook it. The results of that are an unpleasant meal that no one wants to eat. We've tried to find a logical reason to why sometimes Sam's chicken breasts are awful, and we can't figure it out. They're always poorly trimmed, even when you don't get hard stringy ones. Before cooking, I spend several minutes trimming globs of fat, cartilage and clusters of veins and arteries from the meat. If you don't have time to trim, I'd suggest buying other chicken. If you don't mind trimming and just want to save a few dollars, there's very few places that regularly have less expensive chicken breasts.
