This is my 4th Night Owl system. Still figuring it out. Most of the settings are done from my smart phone which im not sure I like, maybe just because I was use to doing it all on they system in the past models. Picture is crystal clear compared to my last system and I like have sound back.

I’ve had this up and operating for about 2 was. The picture is very clear with no doubt about facial details or license plate numbers. I also like the spotlight that is triggered by motion, like a mini spotlight.The app for remote viewing however, is clunky and less than seamless, but it works and seems to do the job for the most part.

Very clear view and night color vision option

I love this camera system. Very sensitive motion activated. I really wanted 24/7 recording, but cameras use a lot of data. With app or monitor, can view live anytime. I will change this to 5 star when customer service responds to my emails. I had 1 camera bad, sent emails and they agreed and sent me another camera. They sent me wrong camera I cannot use with this system. Now they don't respond anymore. I can send them that camera and bad camera back, but not sure where?

I had for about a week. Poe system, hard wires and instructions straight forward. Setting all the functions for the cameras has not been easy. (not a tech guy) All the instructions and videos were for the wiring, which was the easy part. No instructions or videos for all the camera settings. Web support not help again because it was all about initial set up. Did chat support and Ana F was very helpful .Did not provide phone number for tech support with set up guide, had to look it up. Still working on a few issues nut it's up and running.

It's ok

The cameras has to mounted straight up because they want turn on the swivel to adjust to any angle meaning that if you tilt the lens it will be tilted on the screen. My other cameras were able to turn on every angle and view upright. Plus one off my cameras face recognition lights will not work in channel 3

Do Yourself a Favor and trust the negative reviews

The cameras keep going in and out. One location where we had to rent a lift to install has gone out now which is even more inconvenient. The overall user interface is lacking functionality. It is not convenient to parse recorded video to view a small-time frame of activity. I will definitely be returning this item and will not trust Night Owl for my security needs going forward. Within the first 3 months, 2 cameras stopped working all together, the cameras reset randomly and have to be syncing to the system again ("Your Device is Ready") is yelled out from cameras... not impressed with S-Club or Night Owl for this product. I read the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance on these. Big Mistake and headache.

4K, 8 Camera NVR System

I am very disappointed with the live viewing options on the NVR. I purchased the 4K, 8 camera system but to my surprise after setting up the system, the monitor does not show the option on live view for just all eight cameras. It goes from six to nine cameras. You don’t even sell 9 camera systems. Who in their right mind would write a program for a non existent nine cameras system, but exclude the option for standard selling eight system. It does show the eight cameras live view which makes it just confusing as to why there is no consistency.

Falls way to short for it's price range

I really wanted to like this system, but there is nothing to like. Camera angles are terrible, night filtering is terrible, and the worse part is you can't make out a face from 15" away on a clear sunny day. It's so pixilated that it might as well be animated.
