Chunks are coming off the tread of my tires!

Like the review with the photos, my tires have suddenly started doing the same exact thing! My vehicle has 32,000 miles on it (2019 Cadillac XT5) and chunks of rubber are now missing from the tread of my tires, and the rubber is cracking and peeling off just like the images the previous reviewer posted. I would not recommend this tire, at all.

Wear out FAST

Wear out incredibly fast. These came as OEM on my 2021 Lexus RX. Regular rotation, no uneven wear and all four tires need replacement at 33,000 kms. I put on winter tires every fall, so they have only been used for 6 months a year. Always had nothing but good experiences with Michelin in the past, but this level of wear is ridiculous.

Bought this for snow

I am now in my 2nd winter with these tires and I couldn't be more pleased. Outstanding traction on snow packed roads and even do a good job on the icy roads here in Colorado. These tires still look brand new and are performing as well as when they were first installed. I would highly recommend.

Mercedes Benz ML250 Bluetech

Since changing from Continental Cross Tracks(Only got 19k miles on them) to the Mich Premiere LXT, the MB rides so much better and they handle great in the Rain. I live in Colorado and waiting to see how they handle in the snow. Slightly better Fuel mileage overall.

Replacement at 32k miles??

I have a 2018 Grand Cherokee purchased brand new and directly from the dealership. Car has 32,000 miles and I’m already needing new tires - Michelin Premier LTX 265/60R18. I don’t usually write reviews but I’ve found this thread to be very helpful and thought I should share my experience. It makes no sense needing new tires at 32,000 miles when the normal mileage warranty is 60k. No, I’m not an aggressive driver, half of my commute is highway, and no, no mountainous driving. I’m already in touch with customer care, hope this issue is solved soon and all 4 tires are replaced at no cost

Poor wear life

Bought these tires in august 2017 and with only 40,000 miles they are needing replacement on a 2007 Honda CR-V. I obtained 78,000 miles on the previous Michelin Energy Savers to show that I am not tough on tires. I expect much better from Michelin and have been a fan for a number of years but these disappointed me.

Outstanding tire

Just bought this set of tires and so far I am highly impressed. Very quite and excellent traction on wet and dry surfaces. Looking forward to seeing how they do in light snow conditions. The tread design is very aggressive but still keeps the quite ride that I was looking for.

Poor Tread Wear

I bought these tires for for Acura RDX on 8/29/2019 at 46,000 miles, and 2 weeks ago my mechanic told me the tires need to be replaced and now the car is at 86,000 miles. I had them rotated at every service interval. Very disappointed in the treadwear, especially since they are supposed to last 60,000 miles and I paid extra for these tires. Other than that, they have performed well in regard to noise level, handling, wet/dry/snow conditions, but not worth the money of such a short life, would not recommend.

dandkray, we hear the frustration, but remember, the tires have a limited treadwear warranty. One of our team members will be in touch to work with you and your retailer (preferably the selling dealer), on initiating a warranty claim.

Best tire I've ever bought!,,,

Best tires I have to say. Bought a set of 4 to replace my old Michelin energy mxv4 on my 2007 Acura MDX and they run way smoother and very quite. Also better handling on the highway and city roads. I highly recommend this tire if you want a smooth and quite ride.

Just Replaced Latitude Tours on 2014 MDX

Just had the tires a couple of days. Ride is nice and grip seems good. I am very concerned about the mileage reviews. If these tires do not get at least 50,000 miles until they are 4/32nds of an inch I am not going to be happy. I registered these tires and I expect Michelin to replace them free of charge if they do not perform up to the mileage specs. Seeing reviews of these tires needing to replaced at 26,000 miles concerns me a lot. What is Michelin prepared to do if these tires wear down at 25,000 to 30,000 under normal conditions?
