Poor wear

These tires have great wet and dry driving characteristics. Unfortunately a 60k mile tire wearing out at 20,000 miles is unacceptable. I used to think Michelins were one of the best quality tire. I can't bring myself to replace these with another set made by the same company.

Less than impressed with mileage

I've always had great success with Michelin tires. The Premier LTX I bought in Sept 2019 are the exception. I currently have less than 30K miles on them, and noticed the treads are worn considerably. I mentioned this to my dealer and he said they are at 5/32”, and were only 10/32” when new. He said based on this I'm at 50% of the life expectancy. Well, I wasn't thinking….they will need to be replaced at 3/32”, so in reality they are 80% worn and I will be lucky to (safely) get another 5 or 10K on them. Aside from this, they've been good tires…ride and handle well. I'm hoping Michelin treats me fairly on the warranty, and has a better tire to replace them with.

Nice tire, but a 60K tire worn out at 40K miles? Bad...

Took in our 2017 Lexus RX350 F-sport for maintenance, and I was notified that our car, with 40k miles on it, needs new tires very soon. Sure enough, I checked, and the tread is nearly gone...this is on tires that are supposed to last 60k miles? That just plain sucks. The tire itself performs well, but the longevity for a supposedly premium tire is garbage. Tires are original from car that was purchased brand new.

Very low mileage

The tread life mileage on these tires is far below the range expected; supposed to be 6 year 60,0000 and we are getting 4 year and under 40,000. The dealer said that the tread wear at 36,000 miles of mixed driving will not pass inspection. The ride started smooth and quiet, but has become rough in the last year. Very disappointed in tread llfe and ride quality and cannot recommend these tires.

Tires are less than a year old - have to replace

One tire has a blemish on the sidewall and the tire shop is willing to replace on warranty, but our tire model has been discontinued everywhere. All we need is one tire, but it's impossible to get, so it looks like we have to buy 4 new tires and no warranty replacement on the other 3 tires! We always buy Michelin for quality and safety but why bother?

Dismal Treadwear, Noisy

Michelin rates my size as having 8.5/32 depth when this tire is new. Mine measured at 9/32. I have 8,100 miles on these tires, alignment is perfect, the vehicle is new, and 80% of this mileage was over-the-road on interstates. Now, they are reading just a tiny fraction more than 6/32. That is just not acceptable. Another thing: If you travel rough-grain blacktop - for example I-10 in Arizona, or I-17 from I-10 to Phoenix, the noise will drive you out of the car. On concrete surfaces, you can judge your speed by the pitch of the whine, B-flat, 55; B, 60; C, 65, C# 70; D you'll get a ticket. My luck with Michelin Defenders, but in auto and SUV sizes, was amazingly good, so I will go back to those unless I buy another brand.

Good tire but really short treadlife

Got a set of these in 2016. Just changed them out today. They ran great up until this winter when I checked the tread depth and they were all 3/32”. I could definitely notice sliding that wasn't there last winter during our last snowfall. They are rated 600 but run more like a 500. Awesome tires for the first year though!

Poor Tread Wear

These Premier® LTX® came on my new 2019 Chevrolet Equinox LT. They were rotated every 6000 miles by the Chevy dealer. At 29,785 miles they were at the wear bar and had to be replaced. Not many miles for a tire rated for 60,000 miles. I have had other Michelin tires that wore much better..

This is a seriously flawed tire

I can in no way recommend this tire. We have less than 15,000 miles and already having to replace all 4 tires. We are Michelin people. We have a child that works there. But extremely disappointed in this tire. Two different large dealers said this tire should be removed from production.

Tread gone, Very disappointed

Michelin Premier LTX tires were rotated every oil change and wore very evenly. The problem is, I'm at the wear bars at 27,000 miles. This is a 60,000 mile tire. Not even going to fuss/argue/beg Michelin, WON'T be buying any more Michelins. Yes, very disappointed in what is suppose to be THE most well respected tire manufacturer in the world.
