The worst wearing tires I have ever owned

These tires are factory (OEM) and original to the 2019 Lexus RX350 as purchased new. I have been a Michelin purchaser for 40 yrs. These tires are the absolute worst with respect to tread wear. As a professional pilot, I'm rather fastidious about checking and maintaining certain aspects of a vehicle. These tires have been rotated as scheduled and routinely ensure pressure is 33 psi as per the manufacturers spec. At 15K, I perceived abnormal wear. At 20K, I notified Lexus that these are not 60K tires. At 25K, I asked Lexus if these were a known to be 'bad batch' needing a recall and if they are covered under an implied warranty of merchantability. I've coaxed 35K out of these and now replacement is needed. It appears this model Lexus also came equipped Bridgestone tires. I would wager those vehicles faired better. Apparently, Michelin is no longer the highly regarded symbol of a quality tire.

More...Michelin Premier LTX tires worn out at 20,600 mi

We are truly shocked about the tread wear on our Michelin Premier LTX 235/65R/18 tires on our 2017GMC Acadia. Our car servicing report from a few months back indicated we were at 4/32” tread depth. The tires have 20,600 miles on them and it's been suggested we replace them! I have spent hours reading negative reviews about hundreds of people with this same issue. We bought the car used with 14,000 miles so I am sure Michelin will eliminate us from any sort of credit for new tires. We have enjoyed Michelin tires many times prior but not this time. The problem is with these prematurely worn out Michelin tires at 20,600 miles – not with the fact that we purchased a 2017 Acadia! Help?

Bad Tires

I have a 2017 GMC Acadia with 29k, took it to the dealership told them felt like bad tire, was told nothing wrong with the tires, went on a couple of weeks, took it back, said there is way too much vibration, told again, nothing wrong, 3rd trip in, had to get mad, asked for the manager, 3rd time they finally tell me. every Tire has a slipped belt, they won't stand behind them, I now have to buy 4 new tires, I should have 30k more miles before I need to get new

Poor tire tread life

Bought these tires for my 2015 Honda Pilot when the car had 38k miles on it. After 30k miles and 3 years, they have to be replaced because of excessive tread wear. No extraordinary driving, no trailer pulling, light loads. This is unacceptable. Michelin needs to step up and make sure your customers know this or drop the price in half. Consumer Reports does NOT recommend this tire. Only the Defender.

Disappointing tread wear

Came on 2019 Equinox bought three years ago. Had oil changed today at 29,459, was told need new tires real soon, tread down to 2/32 and 3/32. Long way from 60,000 mile tread warranty. Did required rotations. Not what I expected from a michelin tire.

Terrible Tread Life

Purchased the tires January 2017 with 33,733 miles on the vehicle and had them replaced December 2019 with 56,164 miles on the vehicle. The tires were rotated with every vehicle maintenance and I would have expected longer life than 22,400 miles for the price paid for these tires. When new the ride was smooth and quiet, but in no way makes-up for the tread life.

Best grip on takeoff.

I bought these Premier in June 2017 and the first time I drove them, my tires did not spin when accelerating from the stop light. It felt like I am in a rocket when taking off. The original Pirelli's that came from factory had tread much more than the Michelin but it spins when accelerating (had to replace the Pirelli tires due to ballooning of side wall which made it go thump, thump). Very pleased with the tires as I already put 42k miles on it and only 17k left to go to the 60k miles replacement.

Dismal Treadwear, Noisy

Michelin rates my size as having 8.5/32 depth when this tire is new. Mine measured at 9/32. I have 8,100 miles on these tires, alignment is perfect, the vehicle is new, and 80% of this mileage was over-the-road on interstates. Now, they are reading just a tiny fraction more than 6/32. That is just not acceptable. Another thing: If you travel rough-grain blacktop - for example I-10 in Arizona, or I-17 from I-10 to Phoenix, the noise will drive you out of the car. On concrete surfaces, you can judge your speed by the pitch of the whine, B-flat, 55; B, 60; C, 65, C# 70; D you'll get a ticket. My luck with Michelin Defenders, but in auto and SUV sizes, was amazingly good, so I will go back to those unless I buy another brand.

Terrible Tires

These tires are already showing tread wear bars at only 27000 miles have been rotated each oil change by dealer. This tire does not meet your stated mileage guarantee. Normal driving not a daily driver for commuting either. These came on the car when I bought it NEW! Need some warranty action on these tires

Poor tread life

I bought a new set of Premier LTX tires for my 2016 Honda Pilot 4 years ago and after just 40,000 miles, they have worn to 2/32nds tread depth. This is with regular tire rotations, balancing and alignments performed on schedule. This is suppose to be a 60,000 mile tire. This is poor return on my investment in a luxury tire. They were a quiet, comfortable tire with good grip as they wore but again not the tread life that was promised.
