Easy to start, solid, and the grandkids love it! I have six grandchildren that are able to use this kart and I enjoy watching them drive around the yard in it. Power is adequate, but not enough for them to get into real trouble. Suspension is good and I like the hydraulic brake.

I had a go kart growing up and had been looking to buy one for our kids. This was the perfect fit for our busy 7 and 8 yr old daughters! It was assembled in the store (phew!) and is of great quality (as per my husband)! Our kids have had it since Easter and are still just as excited to ride it as they were the first time.

I've own many go kart. We ride them on my 300 Acre. All my previous go kart have problems. but none is better then these Coleman. This thing is built to last!. 1st one I bought it had a few problems because I put it together wrong. Not Coleman fault. But after I put it together right. It's a beast! Can take 2 full grown adults with easy up n down dirt hill. Well worth money!

My son is so excited and loves it so much! He has been driving for 1 week. Everyday. The delivery person is very helpful, though the delivery is a little behind the schedule. Such a wonderful gift! Very easy to put together even I am not very handy at all.

I got this for the Grandkids Christmas and they drove it for 25 minutes on Christmas Day, lots of mud thrown up by the tires so once around the yard was enough for them. Took it out yesterday and it started great and drove around for 10 minutes before the drive belt broke into two pieces. Not even one tank of gas through the engine! Now I've gotta try to find parts :(

We gave a KT196 to our 8yr old grandson for Christmas. He has been riding an 80cc 4-wheeler for the last 2yrs. I have been quite pleased with the overall quality and performance of the Coleman during the last 10 days of use. He enjoys riding his younger brother and friends on the trails within our property. With the throttle linkage fully backed off, it has more than enough torque to ride an adult passenger with him at the wheel. Under wide open throttle, it is not unduly fast. The cart has good drift stability and maintains firm contact on gravel and soil situations. Ground clearance, suspension, live rear axle, and the engine power allow it to tackle rough and uneven terrain. Another plus with the Coleman KT196 is there are numerous aftermarket performance upgrades available. Given growth and experience this cart/buggy can be altered to any degree from mild to wild. we are pleased to have purchased the Coleman KT196 for our grandson as an alternative to MUCH more expensive and dangerous upgraded 4-wheelers.

Bought this based on other reviews so I figured I would chime in as well. This is an awesome kart! Starts first pull every time, my son and I ride it for hours at a time and it's endless enjoyment. Quite, powerful, reliable, and well built are all accurate. Was pretty easy to put together and everything has been issue free. Don't forget to pickup oil while you are at the store, enjoy!

Arrived sooner than expected. Assembly went smoothly. Runs great. Dropped throttle limiter down two turns for grandchildren. After day #1, backed it off a half turn. Next time they visit, will back off another quarter of a turn. It's a basic engine. Nothing fancy but is perfect for what we wanted. Ground clearance is good. They run all over the yard, fields, and trails in our woods. There are a few places it can't go but that was expected (too narrow, too rocky, too steep). All in all, is great. The continuously variable belt drive ("transmission") is logical. Squeals a bit but we have the throttle dropped a little and that's causing it.

Best bang for your buck! This is the most reliable go-kart with the best features for the price. The 196cc engine has plenty of power for smaller riders, yet is still fun at 200lbs. Quality drive system, not just a centrifugal clutch. Quality brakes, decent suspension. Again for the price, best option.

Great little go kart. Couldn't get the kids off of this thing. Took it out to the desert and it went for miles on a tank of gas (not sure how many). This thing tackled low level sand dunes (got stuck in anything over about 4 feet high). Price is a little steep. Weight capacity states 400 pounds although I am not sure about putting anyone over 250 on this thing. I am about 185 and it's cramped, but it'll go. Goes over 20mph without removing governor, which is plenty for the kids.
