Arrived sooner than expected. Assembly went smoothly. Runs great. Dropped throttle limiter down two turns for grandchildren. After day #1, backed it off a half turn. Next time they visit, will back off another quarter of a turn. It's a basic engine. Nothing fancy but is perfect for what we wanted. Ground clearance is good. They run all over the yard, fields, and trails in our woods. There are a few places it can't go but that was expected (too narrow, too rocky, too steep). All in all, is great. The continuously variable belt drive ("transmission") is logical. Squeals a bit but we have the throttle dropped a little and that's causing it.

This kart is so much fun!!! Our 15 year old daughter can't get enough of it. It's quick and safe. I highly recommend shipping it to the store for them to assemble, which is what I did after reading a few reviews about assembly. They will do it for free, which was awesome. You will just need to add oil (SAE 10W30) and 1 gallon of gas. The oil is in a tough spot to reach on the back of the engine so you will need a small, bending funnel. You will need a funnel for the gas too. It is easy to drive. Goes up and down hills just fine. It maxes out around 25mph but probably goes faster downhill. Feels faster for sure. I recommend getting some side bar mirrors and lights if you might encounter cars. It is designed for smaller people. I'm 5'5 and about 165lbs and it's a tight fit for me with the seat about 2 inches from its farthest back position. My weight does not seem to affect speed too much but it isn't designed for higher weight. The turn radius is not great which will help protect from flipping over and allows for sufficient turning in most situations but expect to have to push it backwards to back up or adjust to a turn you couldn't make in your driveway for example. You can do a full U-turn in a street but it is a tight fit. You won't be disappointed. It's a blast.

You'll need some muscle, basic mechanical abilities, and time to assemble it, but once together it's a blast. The first hurdle is getting the thing out of its STEEL shipping crate. Most of that can be disassembled, but it still must be lifted out of the last bit with two of its wheels off. That all being said, I'm now considering a second go kart -- perhaps one with a single seat that [more properly] fits a large adult.

I bought this for my two grandsons (ages 11and 9) and they just love it -- it was so easy to assemble our 11 year old helped in putting it together. He even got online and watched the videos. He checks it all the time from oil to loose bolts. We are happy with the purchase so far.

Came shipped to my driveway in a very sturdy metal crate. It was pretty heavy so be sure to have someone help you move it into the garage. The assembly was very easy...directions were clear. It came nearly fully assembled. I just had to put the rear tires, steering wheel, and roll cage on. Starts up with a single pull. My seven year old drives it just fine. It's powerful enough for me to ride it with my 5 year old. It's a fun go kart that I see is getting years of enjoyment from!

The kids love this thing. Delivered via LTL freight. Easy assembly, 1-1.5 hours with proper hand/power tools. Recommend adding oil before you put the bench seat on. Get a funnel for the gas tank because it's hard to reach with the rack on it. Hub caps don't fit but don't care. Plenty fast and agile enough for my young teenager.

Great Go Cart at a Great Price.. Purchased for my grandchildren (5, 10 and 13) the 5 and 10 year olds ride it several times a day every day. Quick and easy stating ( No need for me to do it they do it themselves) No assembly reqired on my part. I added an orange flag so they can be seen on our back country roads

While I have not run this extensively yet, I can say that it was well-packed, fairly straightforward to assemble (although having your own tools will certainly beat the included tool kit for ease of assembly) and fired up and ran great after a short idle time. The oil and gas fill were the hardest - the package tray covers the gas tank and the oil, as others have said, is way down in behind the seat. I had a long slim transmission funnel but it was not able to get in to the fill hole easily. I ended up heating it with a lighter and bending it into a 45-degree angle at the bottom to fill the oil. This worked and I can always get another funnel for my needs. I also picked up an inductive hourmeter to install to help with maintenance at proper intervals. Hope my sons like it.

Great kart for the whole family. My 6, 10 and 12 year old love it. It's great having two seats for the kids to ride when the other is driving. The seat belts can be challenging for them to adjust themselves. Built solid and looks like something that will last years to come.

We gave a KT196 to our 8yr old grandson for Christmas. He has been riding an 80cc 4-wheeler for the last 2yrs. I have been quite pleased with the overall quality and performance of the Coleman during the last 10 days of use. He enjoys riding his younger brother and friends on the trails within our property. With the throttle linkage fully backed off, it has more than enough torque to ride an adult passenger with him at the wheel. Under wide open throttle, it is not unduly fast. The cart has good drift stability and maintains firm contact on gravel and soil situations. Ground clearance, suspension, live rear axle, and the engine power allow it to tackle rough and uneven terrain. Another plus with the Coleman KT196 is there are numerous aftermarket performance upgrades available. Given growth and experience this cart/buggy can be altered to any degree from mild to wild. we are pleased to have purchased the Coleman KT196 for our grandson as an alternative to MUCH more expensive and dangerous upgraded 4-wheelers.
