The bag had a whole in it, I ended up having to throw it all away. It had a foul smell too.

I'm from Louisiana and this is the best product Walmart has sold in this category. No freezer burn Chinese crawfish. Re-season them with a powdered bag of crab boil with cayenne. Do not reboil these are already cooked. Just bring to a ball your powdered crab boil then turn off the water and put the 3 lb live crawfish in the hot water with a lid on for 30 minutes. They are delicious with white meat and the heads are full of juice tender White meat. All the Crawfish were about medium size full of meat.

First off been to Louisiana many times and sampled many a mud bug. That said, this product comes from cajun country and i love that i can support their economy. At a little over $3 lb this is a great deal. Like the owner of Riceland Foods says "you can't beat fresh". I found this nicely spiced and it held up even after boiling per the instructions. The meat was firm but it had an off flavor not unlike reheated chicken. Not offensive just different. I would recommend using this product in gumbo or etouffee. Support USA fishermen!

Will never buy these again and warn others to avoid. We followed the instructions that do not instruct you to wash/clean these and they were not good to say the least. About 1/3rd of the way through our bag we also discovered a leech that had been cooked and bagged with the crawfish. While not dangerous, I think this shows just how much (or how little) quality control this company has which does not inspire confidence (or safety). To the person here shouting about some conspiracy that all bad reviews had never bought the product, I purchased this item in-store not on-line and I'm sure many if not all the others leaving honest reviews are in the same boat. I hope Sam's drops these and finds something better even if they are more expensive.

Thank goodness I did not listen to previous reviews. The bad reviews for this product are either malicious or those individuals do not know anything about crawfish. I mean more towards malicious because they were so false. Ok, to start I love crawfish and am picky when it comes to them little critters. This product is AMAZING. I have tried lots of frozen crawfish from walmart about 5 different brands and these are by far the best for flavor, texture, cleanliness and smell. Nothing will ever compare to fresh crawfish but let me tell you these are to close to compare they taste perfect. They are super clean the only Brown or color on the shell is from the seasoning which is by far premium. My fiance and I were so delighted we bought these and had the best time last night indulging in them. Not bad for the price. Easy to defrost and warm if you like. We eat both cold and warm. I could go on and on. Trust this brand they are amazing. Packaging must be new but same great product. Thank you rice land for a delightful product. I never like to eat farmraised seafood but with this one I'll make an exception.

I got tired of getting seafood boils so I thought I'd make my own. After buying I realized I didn't see a star rating so I decided to Google it. One lady complained about finding a baby turtle in her bag WITH PROOF!! And others complained about snails. While being concerned and scared at the same time I decided to check mine before eating and loss and behold a snail. IM GOOD OFF YALL and as for Walmart I need a refund ASAP

Make sure you steam them do not boil them or they will lose the flavor and be mushy.
